Training/cursus: Citrix XenServer Enterprise Edition 4.0: Administration
Omschrijving
This 2-day course covers information administrators and other IT professionals need to successfully deploy and manage XenServer Enterprise Edition 4.0 and the XenCenter Management Client.
The course includes hands on labs where learners install and configure a virtualization server and then connect to the server with the XenCenter client. Students will then create a mix of Windows and Linux virtual machines. Next, students will create a XenServer resource pool and connect to remote storage. This allows students to explore advanced XenServer capabilities such as XenMotion and Automatic VM placement.

Vereiste voorkennis
Before taking this course, Citrix recommends that learners have the following:
- A basic knowledge of the purpose and goals of virtualization technology
- An understanding of computing architecture, including network & storage devices, drivers & OS's
- Basic experience installing and administering Windows Server 2003
- Basic experience installing and administering Linux variants
- Intermediate knowledge of network devices & site architecture, including configuring vLANs
- Basic knowledge of storage terminology & technologies, including partitions, SANs, LUNs, iSCSI, and NFS and CIFS file shares.
