You build a solid foundation as a manager and learn to switch between four leadership styles. You adapt your approach to the employee and the situation, and manage with greater calm, overview and flexibility.
In this classroom course, you combine the foundation of leadership with the in-depth module on situational leadership. You work on your role, positioning and communication as a manager and develop the basic skills you need on a daily basis.
You learn to state expectations clearly, manage behaviour and results, give feedback and hold difficult conversations. You also gain insight into motivation, ownership and effective delegation.
In the final part you go deeper into situational leadership. You learn to apply the four styles of directing, coaching, supporting and delegating, to recognise employees' development levels and to switch between styles deliberately. In this way you develop an approach that is clear and flexible, and you tailor your leadership to different employees and situations.
After this programme, you will stand more firmly in your role as a manager and communicate more clearly about expectations and agreements. You will conduct difficult conversations with more confidence and be better able to assess what your employees need.
This course is intended for managers who want to strengthen their foundation and at the same time learn to switch between different styles. You want to respond better to differences between employees and are looking for more flexibility and calm in the way you lead.
The course is practical and interactive. You bring in your own cases and work on situations from your own team. Short explanations alternate with exercises and reflection, so you can translate insights directly into your work. At the end, you formulate concrete points of attention for your further development as a manager.
No specific prior knowledge is required for this course. It helps if you hold a management role or are about to take one on, so that you can link the exercises to your own practice. Experience in a management role is welcome, but not a requirement.
This programme combines the foundation of leadership (days 1 and 2) with the in-depth module on situational leadership (day 3). Together, the days form a single programme and cannot be taken separately.
Would you like to organise this training for a whole group or several groups? This can be cost-effective. For example, we can tailor the content entirely to your organisation, and training a whole group is also cheaper.
Are you looking at large numbers of participants or a complete academy? That involves a great deal. Consider planning and communication, for example, or identifying and agreeing the objectives and content of the training. Or differences in level, feedback mechanisms and safeguarding. Fortunately, Learnit has extensive experience in this field (more than 25 years) and we are happy to help you through this process.
The training is given in Dutch as standard. The trainer has a good command of English. English-language course material can be used. With a minimum enrolment of 3 participants, the training can also be given entirely in English.
When would you like to start?
At Learnit you will always find a course that takes you further. From (technical) IT skills to communication or personal leadership. You can also choose the training format that suits you best: a classroom course, a tailor-made course at your own office, an online course or an e-learning. We have the right course and the right format for everyone. Because learning in the way that suits you best delivers the best results.
Personal attention and a pleasant atmosphere. Whether you take a course with us, at your office or on your own PC, we make sure you feel at home enough to push your boundaries.
New opportunities arise when you get moving. Stay sharp. Keep taking new steps. We encourage you to take the plunge and really go for it.
Discover something new. Build on your strengths. And choose your own path. We help you grow with training courses and learning formats that genuinely suit you.
We always think in terms of possibilities and win-win. And every day we work on new solutions for tomorrow. By offering training courses that leave you well prepared for the future.
We don't make empty promises. What we do offer is quality, knowledge and experience. A broad range of courses, made possible by our inspired staff and trainers.
We listen to what matters to you. To what you need. Because that is where our solution, our tailored approach, begins. Understanding each other properly and communicating clearly: that is what we believe in.
Taking a training course at Learnit means learning together. Together with your experienced trainer, together with your course group or together with your colleagues. And whether you take the training at home, at your office or at one of our training locations, we are always available to help you. To share our knowledge with you in a way that is genuinely useful to you. Getting further together through personal attention and understanding each other well; that is what we believe in.
Learning theory from a book that you can then hardly use in your work? Not at Learnit! Whichever training you take with us, you can put it to use at your workplace straight away. Because of the unique learning objectives you set together with the trainer at the start of the training. Because of the alternation between theory and (interactive) practical assignments. And by bringing the challenges you face in your daily work along to the training.
No suitable start date? Send us a date request. Then we will look together at how we can still meet your training needs.
