  • Directly applicable in your day-to-day work
  • Tailored to your situation
  • More calm, confidence and impact as a leader

As a manager, you want to lead with calm, direction and confidence. In this personal coaching programme, you work with an experienced coach on your style, your pitfalls and your development. Five sessions, entirely tailored to your own practice.

Description

In this personal coaching programme you work with an experienced coach on your role as a manager. You examine what characterises your management style, where your strengths lie and which patterns you encounter in difficult situations. No fixed model, but guidance that suits who you are and what your work demands.

The programme consists of five sessions and starts with an intake. During this session, you and your coach determine what you want to work on. You then bring in situations from your day-to-day practice, are given reflections and practical tools, and set your own pace. The conversations are personal, practical and always tailored to your reality.

The coaching is provided in Dutch as standard and can also take place in English on request. On completion you receive a Learnit certificate as proof of participation.

Topics

  • Your leadership style and its effect on others
  • Dealing with resistance, friction and difficult situations
  • Clear communication, even in tense or emotional conversations
  • Managing for growth, trust and collaboration in your team
  • Reflecting on behaviour, beliefs and patterns
  • Staying steady under pressure and making conscious choices as a leader
  • Balancing being there for others with taking good care of yourself
  • Working on self-confidence, self-awareness and personal leadership

Result

After five sessions you have more grip on your behaviour as a leader. You better understand who you are as a manager, what you do and what choices you have. You start conversations sooner, stay calmer under pressure and notice that collaboration runs more smoothly.

The effects are often surprisingly concrete. Your team responds differently, your decisions land better and people trust you more quickly. You make decisions with more calm, conviction and support. In this way your own leadership grows, along with the energy and engagement in your team.

Target audience

Leadership coaching is intended for anyone with a role in management, coordination or ultimate responsibility. Think of team leaders, project managers, management team members, directors and executives. Whether you are just starting out or already have years of experience: reflecting on your style always brings something.

Coaching suits you if you:

  • notice that you keep running into the same situations;
  • have just taken on a new team or a new role;
  • you want to build your self-confidence or communication skills;
  • are struggling with balance or overload.

You do not need to have a problem to get started. The motivation to grow in your leadership is enough.

Teaching method

We tailor leadership coaching entirely to you. We start with an intake in which we look together at where you stand, what you want to explore and what you need in order to do so.

After that you work with a fixed coach on your own learning objectives. You bring in situations from your work, reflect on them, are given mirrors and practical tools, and set your own pace.

The programme consists of 5 sessions as standard. Would you like to go deeper or broaden your scope afterwards? Then we'll look together at what suits you. The conversations are personal, practical and always tailored to your reality.

Prior knowledge

You don't need any specific prior knowledge. What helps is that you have a role in management or coordination and are willing to look at your own behaviour as a leader. The motivation to grow in your leadership is enough to get started.

Learning theory from a book that you can then hardly use in your work? Not at Learnit! Whichever training you take with us, you can put it to use at your workplace straight away. Because of the unique learning objectives you set together with the trainer at the start of the training. Because of the alternation between theory and (interactive) practical assignments. And by bringing the challenges you face in your daily work along to the training.

You start with an intake session in which you determine your learning objectives together with your dedicated coach. After that, you work at your own pace on situations from your own practice. Would you like to go deeper or broaden your scope after the five sessions? Then you and your coach look at which follow-up suits you.

    Leadership coaching is suitable for anyone with a role in management, coordination or ultimate responsibility. Think of team leaders, project managers, management team members, directors and board members. Whether you have just become a manager or already have years of experience, the programme adapts to your situation. You do not need to have a problem in order to start. The motivation to grow in your leadership style is enough.

    You will find the price of a leadership coaching programme on the Learnit course page, or you can request it from us. The standard programme consists of 5 personal sessions with a fixed, experienced coach, including an intake and tailored guidance. For in-company programmes or an extension beyond the 5 sessions, we will draw up a suitable quotation based on your requirements and development goals.

    Yes, leadership coaching can be delivered in English. As standard we run the programme in Dutch, but your coach also has a good command of English. Do you work in an international context or hold your work conversations in English? Let us know during the intake and we will tailor the sessions accordingly. That way the coaching stays close to your day-to-day work.

    A leadership coaching programme at Learnit starts with an intake in which your goals and learning questions are clarified. You then follow five personal sessions with a fixed coach. You bring in work situations, are given mirrors and practical tools, and set your own pace. The conversations are confidential and fully tailored to your role, style and context.

    Yes, on completing the coaching programme you will receive a Learnit certificate as evidence of participation. This certificate confirms that you have completed the full programme of five sessions. You can add it to your CV or LinkedIn profile to show employers or clients that you have invested in your personal development and leadership.

    A leadership training course is group-based and follows a fixed programme with theory, models and exercises that are the same for all participants. Leadership coaching is an individual programme in which the content is determined entirely by your situation, questions and goals. At Learnit, the coaching programme consists of 5 sessions with a dedicated coach as standard. You bring in situations from your own work and set the pace. A training course is suitable if you want to acquire new knowledge and skills, often together with colleagues. You choose coaching if you want to reflect on your own style, are getting stuck in recurring patterns or have a new role and want to grow into it. The two formats are not mutually exclusive and are often used in combination.

    Yes, a coaching programme is designed precisely for that. You schedule the sessions in consultation with your own coach, so you can match the rhythm to your work diary. Many participants opt for a session every two to four weeks, so that between conversations you can experiment with what you have explored. A coaching programme requires less consecutive time than a classroom leadership training course lasting several days. You invest half a day per session, plus reflection time outside it. The programme consists of 5 sessions as standard. In terms of content, you work with situations from your own practice, so the coaching runs parallel to your daily work rather than alongside it. That makes it feasible, even with a full diary.

    Books and podcasts give you models and insights, but no mirror on your own behaviour. In leadership coaching you work with a coach who takes your concrete situations as the starting point: a conversation with a team member that has stalled, doubt about a decision, or the pattern that keeps landing you in the same bind. You receive feedback on what you do, not on what an average leader ought to do. The programme consists of five sessions, built around your learning objectives. You practise with language, reflect on your style and test new approaches directly in your work. The difference with self-study lies in the application: you learn theory quickly, but changing behaviour requires repetition and being challenged. That challenge comes from an experienced coach, tailored to your context.

    Leadership coaching is an individual programme of 5 sessions in which you work on your specific issues as a manager. You would choose this over a course or self-study when your situation calls for personal attention and general theory falls short. A leadership course works with a set curriculum and group dynamics, and is suitable if you want to build up basic skills. Self-study through books or podcasts gives you knowledge, but no mirror on your own behaviour. Coaching is more appropriate if you keep getting stuck in recurring situations, have just taken on a new role, or want to reflect on your style with an experienced coach who discusses your specific work situations. The sessions are tailored to your pace and objectives. You decide which cases you bring in, which is something self-study or a group course does not offer.

    Leadership coaching works best if you are willing to reflect on your own behaviour and patterns. You don't need an acute problem, but you do need to be able to name a specific question or situation where you are stuck or want to grow. Not sure? There are three signals that point to a good moment: you notice that you keep running into the same situations, you have just taken on a new role or team, or you are running up against your own limits in communication or workload. Do you mainly need basic knowledge about leadership models or giving feedback? Then a leadership training course is a better starting point. Coaching is not knowledge transfer, but targeted guidance for your own practice. During the intake we determine together whether coaching is the right format for your question.

    A leadership coaching session usually lasts an hour and a half and focuses on situations you bring in from your work. You might discuss a difficult conversation with a team member, a decision you're stuck on or a pattern that keeps recurring. The coach asks questions, holds up a mirror and, where useful, offers models or tools. Extensive preparation isn't necessary: briefly thinking beforehand about what's going on and what you want to explore is enough. Afterwards, you leave with concrete insights and often an experiment to try out in practice. Sessions are usually two to four weeks apart, so you have time to test what works. You set the pace yourself, in consultation with your dedicated coach.
