Content of the AI Essentials course

During this course you will receive an explanation of AI and the key concepts involved, in understandable language. You will learn which AI tools are widely used, how they are applied within your sector and what possibilities they offer for your work. You will get to work practically with tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot and Gemini, so that you experience straight away what AI can mean for you.

Using AI responsibly

AI offers plenty of opportunities, but there are also points to consider. How do you deal with bias, privacy and transparency? How do you stay in control of what AI does for you? You will learn to look critically at the results and to recognise where human oversight remains necessary. This gives you a sound basis for using AI without running unintended risks.

Result

This course is intended for anyone without a technical background who wants to learn how AI works and how to apply it responsibly in day-to-day work. Think of HR managers, team leaders, policymakers, teachers, marketing and communications staff, project leaders, healthcare workers and directors. Whether you are simply curious or play a role in decisions about AI within your organisation, this course gives you a solid basis.

Teaching method

The course is classroom-based and interactive. The trainer alternates clear explanations with demonstrations, exercises and group discussions. You will work at the computer yourself with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot and Gemini. There is ample room for your questions and for examples from your own working practice. This way you experience directly what AI can do for you and go home with practical tools.

Prior knowledge

You do not need any technical knowledge or specific prior knowledge for this course. A little experience of working on a computer and with online tools is enough. Curiosity and the wish to put AI to practical use are the main ingredients for getting the most out of this course day.
