The Learnit protocol for safe classroom training

Learnit has resumed classroom training, with special coronavirus measures in place, of course. All our locations are equipped with hand sanitiser and are cleaned thoroughly on an ongoing basis. In addition, we check trainers and participants for coronavirus symptoms in order to safeguard everyone's health.

To help prevent the spread of the coronavirus, it is important that you observe the following rules during Learnit's classroom courses.

The rules

The location:

Every organisation aims for teams that work well together. But because of differences in dynamics, cooperation and communication, intriguing differences arise between teams despite similar compositions. By means of team coaching Learnit Training ensures that teams stand stronger afterwards, and that differences can exist side by side and be valued. Together with the team, the team coach looks for collective patterns of thought and behaviour within the group, so that cooperation can be tackled constructively.

The trainer:

If a trainer has symptoms themselves, they will be replaced or the course will be rescheduled. The trainer can still deliver the course online if participants would like this.

Before the course:

Participants arrive at our location no earlier than 10 minutes beforehand. When the participant has rung the bell, a number of questions are asked first, namely:
  • Have you had symptoms such as a head cold, runny nose, sneezing, sore throat, coughing, an elevated temperature or fever in the past 14 days?
  • Do you have a housemate who has had symptoms in the past 14 days, such as a cold and fever, or shortness of breath and fever?
  • Have you also been in contact with anyone who has had corona-related symptoms in the past 14 days?
Based on the answers given, we determine whether it is sensible to continue with the course in the classroom or to reschedule it or continue it online.

On arrival:

On entering the room, the trainer points out the coronavirus rules to the participant(s): wash your hands before entering, do not stay longer than 10 minutes after the course, keep an appropriate distance, sneeze into your elbow and use fixed seats.

Materials:

Each participant receives their own materials, supplied packaged together with disinfectant. Participants do not have to share these with other participants during the session. The materials are thoroughly cleaned beforehand, and participants are also offered the option of cleaning the materials themselves. Cleaning products and wipes are available in the training room for this purpose.

Facilities:

You can, of course, simply make use of the various facilities. The toilets are cleaned very regularly and the coffee, tea and lunch facilities are made available under strict hygiene rules. Hand contact points are cleaned regularly. Naturally, all of this also takes place at an appropriate distance from one another.

Social distancing:

Before, during and after the course, a distance of 1.5 metres is maintained at all times between participants and between participants and trainers. This is strictly monitored and repeated several times by the trainer. The trainer has received information about the exact rules beforehand.

To make sure we can keep our distance, courses are given in small groups, tables are placed well apart, we use fixed walking routes wherever possible and breaks are scheduled so that as few people as possible are in the canteen at the same time.

Frequently asked questions

When you take part in a course, taking personal responsibility for health is important. Learnit asks the trainer about possible symptoms before the course. The trainer receives an e-mail with instructions before the course, and this also applies to the participants. On arrival at the course, the trainer may ask participants questions about their health before they take part in the course.

The guideline will be 6-8 participants, but if the location does not allow for this, the number of participants will be adjusted accordingly. Learnit has many locations, including external ones, so this will have to be assessed per location. Participants have a fixed seat throughout the course.

We take this into account as far as possible when reserving rooms by indicating that good ventilation is required by opening a window (at external partners). This is not possible at all locations, including the Muziekgebouw. Please contact the planning department if you would like to know more about this or if you have specific requirements.

When a trainer is ill, we will look at whether the trainer can be replaced, depending on the symptoms. If this is not possible, the course can be given (partly) online or the course will be rescheduled in its entirety. We ask participants for their understanding in this.

If a participant has symptoms, he or she can attend the course online or take the course at a later date. The trainer has the right to point this out to a participant when corona-related symptoms are observed and to ask them to take the course online or at a later date.

At our own locations, a Learnit duty manager will clean the tables, chairs and other hand contact points. External locations arrange their own cleaning and disinfectant materials. Course materials are cleaned by the logistics department and packed per participant together with cleaning products.

At our own locations there will be sufficient hand sanitiser. External locations arrange this themselves.

We will put up posters setting out the rules to be followed.

The trainer gives clear instructions beforehand, at the start of the course. The host will point out the measures to participants on arrival. That person is also responsible for regularly cleaning door handles, the coffee machine and suchlike.

The price for the same course online is lower and varies per course. This price is shown below the description of each course on the website.

Participants should not use the toilet facilities at the same time. At external locations, walking routes are in place for this.

Learnit expects both participants and trainers to observe the RIVM guidelines and to take their own responsibility when taking part in a Learnit course.

  1. Whether there is a trainer or host on arrival to explain the measures. They receive the instructions.
  2. Participants receive an e-mail with instructions on washing their hands and stating that they must stay at home if they have symptoms; If you, or one of the people you live with, currently has coronavirus or has had it in the past two weeks, or if you have symptoms such as a cold, sneezing, coughing, a sore throat, difficulty breathing and/or a fever: cancel the course or change your participation to an online course.
  3. The trainer receives an email with instructions, including the above protocol.

Finally

This protocol will be updated whenever the government and RIVM guidelines change. Each update automatically supersedes the previous version.
