In brief. AI literacy for organisations (AI Act) is a 1-day classroom course. It is held in Amsterdam and Rotterdam, in a group of no more than 8 participants. The price is EUR 695 excl. The AI Act is here, and Article 4 has a direct impact on your organisation. If you use ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini or any other AI tool, you fall under the legislation and must be able to demonstrate that your employees are sufficiently AI-literate. This course prepares you for that.
Description
In this course you will learn what the European AI Act requires of your organisation and how to comply with article 4. Since February 2025, every organisation that offers or uses AI systems has been obliged to ensure its staff are sufficiently AI-literate. From August 2026, this obligation will be actively enforced.
You start with the legislation in plain English. What exactly does Article 4 say, who does it apply to and which AI systems count? Using demos with ChatGPT and Copilot, you see how AI plays out in recognisable work situations, and what users need to know and be able to do.
The afternoon focuses on risks and frameworks. You work on issues around privacy, bias, hallucinations and confidentiality, and you learn how to draw up clear frameworks for responsible use within your own organisation. We also cover the documentation obligation: how do you demonstrate that you comply with the law?
You round off the day with a personal action plan for your own role and team. Afterwards you receive a workbook containing frameworks, sample texts and checklists, as well as a certificate of attendance that meets the documentation obligation set out in the AI Act. The course is delivered in a classroom setting or online, with a maximum of 12 participants per group.

After the course you know exactly what the AI Act requires of your organisation and how to give substance to it. You can explain what AI literacy involves, which systems fall under the law and what level of knowledge is needed for each role.

- assess which AI systems within your organisation fall under the law
- recognise the main risks, such as privacy, bias and hallucinations

Target audience
If you work in an organisation where ChatGPT, Copilot or other AI systems are used, you share responsibility for compliance with the AI Act. This course fully prepares you for that. No prior legal or technical knowledge is required.

Teaching method
You spend a full day under the guidance of an experienced trainer who has mastered both the legal and the practical side of AI. We alternate clear explanation with demos, discussions and concrete exercises, so that you know what the AI Act says and how to apply it in your organisation.
In the morning you build a solid foundation. Article 4 is explained in plain language, you see which AI systems count and you look at practical demos of various AI applications. In the afternoon you delve into the risks, frameworks and documentation obligation. You finish with a personal action plan that fits your role and organisation.
The group has a maximum of 12 participants, which leaves room for questions from your own practice. The course can be followed in a classroom setting or online. You receive a workbook with frameworks, sample texts and checklists, as well as a certificate of attendance that meets the documentation obligation set out in the AI Act.

You do not need any prior legal or technical knowledge. It helps if you have a broad idea of which AI tools are used or being considered within your organisation, so you can link the frameworks and the action plan directly to your own practice.

The course is given in Dutch as standard. The trainer speaks English. English-language course materials can be used. If at least 3 participants register, the course can also be given entirely in English.

Can I cancel free of charge?
Yes. Up to four weeks before the first day of the course you can cancel free of charge, without giving a reason. You then receive a credit note or, if you have already paid, a refund. If you cancel later, you pay part of the course fee: 25% between four and two weeks before the start, 75% in the two weeks before it and 100% in the final week. Moving to another start date is free of charge up to two weeks before the start, after that 50%. Sending a colleague in your place is always possible. Read the cancellation terms.

No, you do not need any legal or technical prior knowledge. We start with the basics and explain Article 4 of the AI Act in plain language. It is useful, however, if you have a broad idea of which AI tools are already being used or considered in your organisation, so that you can link the frameworks and the action plan directly to your own situation.

Can I also take the course online or in-company?
Yes. The course can be followed in the classroom on location and online via Microsoft Teams. In-company is also possible, in which case we tailor the content to the AI tools your organisation uses and to the roles of the participants. Feel free to request a proposal for the in-company option.
Do I receive a certificate on completion?
Yes, you will receive a certificate of participation from Learnit afterwards. You can use that certificate to demonstrate to your employer, client or regulator that you have demonstrably worked on your AI literacy in line with Article 4 of the AI Act.
What is the approach and what material do I take away?
Clear explanations alternate with demos of ChatGPT and Copilot, discussions and practical exercises. You work on your own frameworks and action plan, so that you develop concrete material for your organisation straight away. Your workbook contains example frameworks, checklists and texts that you can reuse immediately.
Why take this course instead of reading the AI Act yourself?
The AI Act is an extensive legal document that is hard to translate into everyday work situations. In the course, Article 4 is explained in plain language, linked to concrete examples and tools you use yourself. You save hours of searching and interpretation and go home with workable frameworks instead of isolated legal articles.
Can I apply what I have learnt in my organisation straight away?
That is precisely how it is set up. You finish with a personal action plan for your own role, team or organisation. Your workbook contains sample frameworks and checklists that you can adapt straight away to your own context. Many participants use the sample texts to put an internal AI policy on the table within a few weeks.
What is the difference with a general ChatGPT course?
A standard ChatGPT or Copilot course focuses on skills: how to write a good prompt, how to get more out of the tool. This course goes a step further and covers the legal obligation around AI literacy, the risks and the frameworks your organisation needs. You do get to know the tools, but the emphasis is on responsible use and compliance.
Is this course also suitable for small organisations or freelancers?
Yes. The AI Act makes no exception for small organisations: even if you use AI tools with a small team or as a freelancer for clients, you fall under Article 4. The course helps you draw up proportionate frameworks that suit the scale of your organisation, without having to set up a complete compliance apparatus.
How do we deal with bias, hallucinations and privacy in the course?
These three risks receive explicit attention. You learn how hallucinations arise and how to check output before you use it. With bias, we look at how models can reinforce prejudices and what that means for decisions about people. With privacy, we address what you may and may not enter into AI tools and how to protect commercially sensitive information.
