In brief. AI strategy: comparing and choosing between Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot is a 1-day classroom course. It is held in Amsterdam and The Hague, in a group of no more than 8 participants. The price is EUR 695 excl. VAT per participant, including course materials, lunch on site and a certificate of attendance. We also run this course for a team or department in-company.
Anthropic, OpenAI and Microsoft are competing for your AI budget. In this strategic course you compare Claude, ChatGPT and Microsoft 365 Copilot on what really matters: functionality, price, governance and fit with your organisation. Vendor-independent, hands-on and immediately applicable in your management team.
In this course you make a well-founded choice within the AI landscape. You compare the three largest platforms (Anthropic Claude, OpenAI ChatGPT and Microsoft 365 Copilot) on functionality, price, governance and strategic fit. The set-up is vendor-independent, so you get an honest picture without a sales pitch for any one supplier.
You will work on selection criteria that suit your organisation and look in depth at data governance, Total Cost of Ownership and the differences between the platforms in practice. During a hands-on comparison you carry out the same business tasks in all three environments, so that you notice where the strengths and weaknesses lie.
In the second half of the day you translate this into a concrete pilot approach, a change management route and a combined strategy in which several platforms can exist side by side. You finish with a working document: your draft AI strategy, ready to discuss with your management team.
You have a clear picture of the AI landscape and know how Claude, ChatGPT and Microsoft 365 Copilot compare in terms of functionality, price, governance and strategic fit. You go home with a draft AI strategy, comparison matrices and TCO templates.
Specifically, by the end you will be able to:
This course is intended for managers and policymakers who want to guide their organisation towards a well-founded AI choice. The approach is strategic and vendor-independent, so no sales pitch from any one of the providers.
The course is intended for:
You work for one course day in a small group of no more than 10 participants, either in the classroom or online. The course is built around an active alternation between overview, comparison and decision-making.
In the morning you gain a clear picture of the AI landscape and compare Claude, ChatGPT and Microsoft 365 Copilot hands-on by carrying out the same business tasks in all three platforms. This way you experience the differences in functionality, ease of use and output for yourself.
In the afternoon the focus shifts to your own organisation. You draw up selection criteria, map out data governance and Total Cost of Ownership, and work on a concrete pilot approach. Discussion, sparring with the trainer and exchanges with other participants play an important role.
You end the day with your own working document: a draft AI strategy that you can discuss straight away in your management team. You also receive a digital workbook with comparison matrices, TCO templates and a governance checklist, plus a certificate of attendance.
You have a management or policy role and understand at user level what generative AI does. In-depth technical knowledge is not required. The course is strategic in nature and set up independently of any vendor.
Bring a laptop on which you can work in the browser with Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot. Access to your corporate M365 tenant is useful, but not required.
The course is given in Dutch as standard. The trainer speaks English. English-language course materials can be used. If at least 3 participants register, the course can also be given entirely in English.

Where courses such as 'Working with ChatGPT' or 'Copilot for Microsoft 365' are aimed at users who want to work more effectively with a specific tool, here you take the strategic perspective. You compare platforms at organisational level and work on policy, governance and TCO. This course is therefore not a course in using the tools, but a course in making decisions, aimed at managers and policymakers.
Yes, the comparison is particularly valuable for government bodies, educational institutions and healthcare organisations. Topics such as data region (EU versus US), retention, tenant isolation and compliance receive a good deal of attention. Policy officers and CIOs from the public sector can bring in their own frameworks and test them against what the platforms do and do not support.
Data governance is one of the core topics. For each platform you look at where data is processed and stored, which retention applies, how tenant isolation works and what does and does not happen with your input. You compare the consumer and enterprise versions and assess what fits your compliance frameworks, such as the GDPR or sector-specific requirements. This allows you to make a choice that is also legally defensible.
