AI tools such as ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot make your work faster and smarter, but they also bring new risks. In this course you learn how to use AI responsibly, safely and in line with the rules. You gain insight into the EU AI Act, privacy requirements and the ethical choices that come with using AI.

Description

Almost every organisation now uses AI tools. That brings many benefits, but it also raises questions. What may you enter into ChatGPT? Who is responsible if the output turns out to be incorrect? And how do you prevent sensitive information from ending up somewhere it does not belong?

The EU AI Act has recently set clear requirements for organisations working with AI. Think of demonstrable AI literacy among staff, transparency about how AI is used and responsible handling of risks. As an employee or manager you will have to deal with this one way or another.

In this course you get to grips with the key themes surrounding AI governance: privacy, data security, bias, transparency and human oversight. You learn what the law requires of you, where the ethical boundaries lie and how to assess AI output critically before you rely on it.

You leave with concrete guidelines that you can apply directly in your own work and that contribute to responsible use of AI within your team or organisation.

Teaching method

The course is classroom-based and interactive. Guided by an experienced trainer, you work with practical examples, short exercises and group discussions. You discuss recognisable situations from your own working environment and receive practical tools you can apply immediately. The trainer moves between theory and practice, so that you understand what the rules are and also learn how to use them in your work. There is plenty of opportunity to ask questions and to bring in your own cases.

Prior knowledge

You do not need any specific prior knowledge. Some experience with AI tools such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot is useful, but not required. The course is accessible to anyone who wants to learn to use AI responsibly at work.

Feel free to bring along situations from your own practice. During the course you can raise your own questions and cases and discuss them with the trainer.
