Frequently asked questions

What will you learn in the AI in the Workplace course?

You will learn how to use AI assistants such as ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot for everyday work tasks. Think of writing emails, summarising reports, structuring minutes, analysing information and creating checklists. You will also learn to write effective prompts, critically assess AI output and handle privacy and confidential information responsibly.

Who is the AI in the Workplace course suitable for?

The course is intended for anyone who works in an office and wants to use AI more intelligently. Think of office staff, managers, team leaders, HR, communications and marketing professionals, policy officers and consultants. You do not need a technical background; basic skills with office software are sufficient.

Do you need prior knowledge for the AI in the Workplace course?

No, you do not need any specific prior knowledge. Basic computer skills and familiarity with office software such as Word, Outlook and PowerPoint are sufficient. Previous experience with ChatGPT or Copilot is not required; we start with the basics.

Do you work with ChatGPT or with Microsoft Copilot during the course?

You work with both. We use ChatGPT as an accessible AI assistant for a broad range of applications, and we look at Microsoft Copilot in combination with Word, Outlook and PowerPoint. This way, you learn which tool suits which task in your work best.

Do you receive a certificate after the AI in the Workplace course?

Yes, afterwards you will receive a Learnit certificate of attendance. This shows that you have successfully completed the AI in the Workplace course and can put the skills covered into practice.

Can the AI in the Workplace course also be taken in-company?

Yes, the course is available as an in-company course for teams or departments. In that case, we tailor the content to the tools, processes and examples within your organisation. Contact us for a bespoke quotation.

What is generative AI and why is it relevant for office work?

Generative AI is a form of artificial intelligence that can create new content, such as text, images or summaries, based on an instruction in plain language. This is relevant for office work because many tasks (emailing, reporting, summarising, structuring) revolve around processing and producing text. Generative AI speeds up those tasks and helps you with phrasing, structure and analysis.

What is prompting and why does it matter?

Prompting is the way you give instructions to AI tools. A good prompt contains clear context, a clear goal, a desired format and, where relevant, examples. The more specific your prompt, the more useful the output. That is why prompting is the most important skill for using AI effectively at work. During the course you practise various prompting techniques using familiar work tasks.
