C is one of the most influential programming languages ever. Many modern languages such as C++, Java and C# have their roots in C. In this course you learn the basic techniques of programming in C and build a solid foundation. You get straight to work on practical assignments, so that you not only understand the theory but can also apply it. Whether you want to develop further as a developer or gain a better grasp of the fundamentals of programming: this course offers you a complete introduction to C.

“Instructive, tailored to the group and very easy to follow. I would certainly recommend it.”
“A comprehensive course covering all the important aspects of C. The trainer is knowledgeable and responds to your own learning needs. It is also good to get hands-on with what you have learnt. The examples chosen were pitched at exactly the right level for me.”
“Very instructive C programming course with excellent course materials and a knowledgeable trainer.”
"Good basic course and a motivated trainer! Small scale, which leaves plenty of room for questions."
Wherever suits you: at your office, at one of our training locations or online. You also choose the date.
Yes. Before the course we discuss with you what the group can already do, where things go wrong in practice and what should be different afterwards. The trainer uses examples and exercises from your own work.
That depends on the course. For a skills course we prefer to work with a small group, so that everyone can really practise. If more people are involved, we schedule several groups or set up a fixed programme.
Je krijgt een vaste prijs voor de hele groep, in een offerte op maat. Met een groep is dat voordeliger dan iedereen los inschrijven.
Yes. For in-company courses we deliver the training in the language of your choice, Dutch or English. Mention it in your request.
Yes, every participant receives a certificate of attendance afterwards.

You learn the basic techniques of programming in C. This starts with data types, variables and operators and ends with pointers, structures, dynamic memory allocation and file I/O. You are given both the theory and plenty of practical exercises, so that you can apply what you have learned straight away.
The course is suitable for beginning software developers, students, technicians and engineers who want to work with C. If you already have experience with another programming language and want to extend your knowledge with C, you are in the right place too.
No specific prior knowledge is required. General programming experience or familiarity with logical thinking does help you pick up the material more quickly, but it is not a condition for participation.
The course is built around practice-oriented topics. You start with the basics (data types, operators, control flow) and build up to functions, pointers, structures and the standard library. Each day alternates between theory, demos and your own exercises.
The course is classroom-based. The trainer covers the theory using sample code and demos, after which you get straight to work on exercises yourself. In small groups you receive personal attention and there is plenty of room for questions.
The course is taught by an experienced software development trainer with extensive practical experience in C and related languages. He or she links the theory to recognisable situations from practice.
Afterwards you receive a Learnit certificate as proof of participation. You will also have a solid grounding in C, allowing you to continue programming independently and move on to more advanced topics.
Preparation is not compulsory. If you would still like to do something in advance, read through an introductory text on programming concepts such as variables, loops and functions. Otherwise, make sure you start the course well rested.
Request a quotation without obligation and you will hear from an adviser soon.
