What the course covers
C# is a modern programming language from Microsoft and a mainstay of the .NET platform. Its syntax resembles Java, but it is known for its readable code and efficient use of the processor. In this course you learn how to work with C# in Visual Studio. You start with the basics and build up to object-oriented techniques such as inheritance, interfaces and polymorphism. By the end you can build C# applications independently.

How do I request a quote?

What will I learn in this course?
You learn to program in C# with Microsoft Visual Studio. You start with data types, flow control and methods and move on to object-oriented programming with classes, objects, inheritance and polymorphism. You also learn to work with interfaces, collections, generics, delegates, events and exception handling. Afterwards, you will be able to build C# applications independently.
Who is this course for?
The course is intended for programmers who already have experience with another programming language, such as Java, Python, PHP or C++. Do you want to make the switch to the Microsoft platform, or are you working with .NET applications more and more often? Then you are in the right place.
What prior knowledge do I need?
You have experience with at least one other programming language and are familiar with concepts such as variables, functions, loops and conditions. Experience with object-oriented programming is useful, but not required. We cover the object-oriented concepts during the course.
What does the course look like?
You work in small groups under the guidance of an experienced trainer. Theory is explained with slides and examples, after which you start programming in Visual Studio straight away. This means explanation and practice alternate continuously and you build up your C# knowledge step by step.
What is the delivery format?
The course is classroom-based. You are taught on location at Learnit, in a group with other participants. This leaves plenty of room for questions, tailored explanation and immediate feedback on your code.

The course is taught by an experienced developer and trainer who works with C# and the .NET platform on a daily basis. Our trainers know what the day-to-day practice demands and can relate your questions to examples from their own work.
What do I get after the course?
You will go home with a solid basis in C# and object-oriented programming. You will also receive a Learnit certificate as proof of participation and you keep the course material to read back later.
How can I prepare?
No special preparation is needed. It helps to refresh your own programming experience and to think in advance about an application you would like to use C# for. That way you can ask targeted questions during the course.
