Where does the in-company Body Language course take place?

Wherever suits you: at your office, at one of our training locations or online. You also choose the date.

Can the content be tailored to our organisation?

Yes. Before the course we discuss with you what the group can already do, where things go wrong in practice and what should be different afterwards. The trainer uses examples and exercises from your own work.

How large can the group be?

That depends on the course. For a skills course we prefer to work with a small group, so that everyone can really practise. If more people are involved, we schedule several groups or set up a fixed programme.

Can the course be delivered in English?

Yes. For in-company courses we deliver the training in the language of your choice, Dutch or English. Mention it in your request.

Do participants receive a certificate?

Yes, every participant receives a certificate of attendance afterwards.

How do I request a quote?

Via the quote form: state the course, the number of participants and roughly where and when you would like it. An adviser will then contact you.

How long does the Body Language course take and what do you get?
The Body Language course lasts 2 days. You take the course in a classroom setting, in a small group, guided by an experienced trainer. Course material, catering and a certificate of attendance are included. No prior knowledge is required, so you can start straight away on the basis of your own learning question. The current price can be found on the course page.
Who is the Body Language course suitable for?
The Body Language course is suitable for anyone who wants to gain more insight into non-verbal communication, in both business and personal conversations. You take this course if you want to improve the impression you make, learn to read other people's signals better or feel more confident in presentations and meetings. No prior knowledge is required.
Do you need prior knowledge for the Body Language course?
No, no prior knowledge is required for the Body Language course. You can start straight away, whatever your background or work experience. The course is classroom-based, so you work in a small group under the guidance of an experienced trainer. An individual intake takes place beforehand, in which your personal learning objectives are discussed.
Which topics are covered during the Body Language course?
During the Body Language course you cover the importance of the first impression, sending and receiving, recognising and adjusting your own body language, decoding other people's non-verbal signals, and incongruence between words and behaviour. The classroom-based course combines theory with plenty of practical exercises.
Do you receive a certificate after the Body Language course?
Yes, on completion of the Body Language course you receive a certificate of participation from Learnit. This certificate demonstrates your active participation in the course and is a valuable addition to your CV or LinkedIn profile. It shows that you work consciously on your non-verbal communication and professional presence in business conversations.
Can the Body Language course also be taken in-company?
Yes, the Body Language course is also available in-company. Your organisation then receives a tailored course, with the content adapted to the team's practical situations and learning objectives. The classroom-based course is delivered on site by an experienced trainer. You can request a quotation for the in-company option via Learnit.
What is the difference between the Body Language course and a short online course on non-verbal communication?
An online course or video course on non-verbal communication mainly gives you knowledge: you learn which signals exist and what they mean. Learnit's classroom Body Language course focuses on something else: experiencing and practising. You convey roughly 70% of your message non-verbally, and this largely happens unconsciously. That is why in this course you alternate between concrete experience, experimenting with behaviour, reflecting and exploring theory. You receive direct feedback from the trainer and fellow participants on your posture, facial expression and use of voice. You also practise recognising incongruence between words and body language in others. Choose self-study if you are only looking for knowledge. Choose the classroom course if you genuinely want to change the impression you make.
When do you choose a classroom Body Language course rather than self-study through books or YouTube?
Self-study works perfectly well for learning the theory of non-verbal communication: you read about micro-expressions, posture and mirroring. The difficulty is that you use your own body language largely unconsciously. Without external feedback, you don't know how you come across to others. The classroom-based Body Language course is suitable if you genuinely want to change your behaviour. You experiment with new behaviour in a group, receive direct feedback from a trainer and fellow participants, and practise reading other people's signals. Incongruence between words and body language is also easier to spot through live observation than on video. Choose self-study if you want to understand how it works. Choose the classroom-based course if you want to experience how you do it yourself and what you can adjust.
