With this e-learning course you take your PowerPoint skills to an advanced level. You will work on animations, charts, SmartArt and polished presentations. Optionally, you will also discover how Copilot helps you build slides. Entirely at your own pace, wherever and whenever you want.

Description

In this e-learning you build on your basic knowledge of PowerPoint and get to work with advanced functionality. You work with slide masters, animations and transitions, tables, charts and SmartArt diagrams. You learn to optimise presentations and share them with others. Optionally, the course also covers PowerPoint in combination with Microsoft 365 Copilot, so you can see how AI helps you create presentations.

The bundle consists of two interactive modules with over 80 instructional videos in total and just as many assignments. For each topic you complete assignments to test your knowledge, so you can only move on once you have sufficient command of the material. You have six months' access to the platform and can pause the course at any time and pick it up again later. You can take it from any location with a laptop and an internet connection.

After this e-learning you work comfortably with advanced functions in PowerPoint. You create polished presentations with tables, charts and SmartArt diagrams, and give them extra impact with animations, transitions, sound and video. You adapt slide masters and themes so that your presentations have a consistent look. You also share presentations securely with others, collaborate on the same slides and restore earlier versions when needed. Optionally, you also know how to use Copilot to build strong presentations more quickly.

This e-learning is intended for anyone who has mastered the basics of PowerPoint and wants to make the most of the programme's advanced possibilities. Teaching method

You follow this course entirely as e-learning. You work at your own pace via an online learning platform with instructional videos, exercises and supplementary files. After each topic you complete an exercise to test your knowledge, and only then do you move on to the next part.

You have six months' access to the platform and can stop at any moment and continue later. Your progress is saved automatically. You can log in from anywhere with a laptop and an internet connection; nothing needs to be installed.

Prior knowledge

You are familiar with the basic operations in PowerPoint, such as creating a simple presentation and inserting slides. Beyond that, no prior knowledge is required. A laptop with an internet connection is all you need to follow the e-learning.

    The PowerPoint Advanced + Expert e-learning combines two modules in one package. Module 2 (Advanced) contains 44 lesson videos, 44 assignments and 6 files and focuses on objects, tables, SmartArt, themes and slide masters. Module 3 (Expert) contains 42 lesson videos, 42 assignments and 5 files and covers charts, animations, transitions, collaboration, security and templates. Allow around 7 hours of study time per module. If you choose Advanced only, you miss out on the charts and advanced presentation functions. If you choose Expert only, you lack the grounding in object editing and slide masters that you need in Module 3. The combined bundle is better value than the separate modules and gives you 6 months' access to both. Optionally, PowerPoint with Copilot is also covered.

    This bundle suits users who already have the basics under control (creating slides, formatting text, inserting simple objects) and want to build presentations that look more professional and are more cleverly put together. Think of staff who regularly deliver pitches, reports or training courses and want a firm grip on slide masters, SmartArt, charts, animations and collaborating on presentations. The course is less suitable if you still struggle with basic operations; in that case, start with PowerPoint Basics. It is also overkill if you only occasionally reuse a standard slide. The Advanced module focuses on structure and formatting (masters, themes, tables, SmartArt), the Expert module on interaction and finishing touches (charts, video, animations, security, version control). Optionally, working with Microsoft 365 Copilot in PowerPoint is also covered, which is useful if you want to use AI when building presentations.

    Yes, optionally. As an optional extension, the PowerPoint Advanced + Expert e-learning covers how to use Microsoft 365 Copilot within PowerPoint. Think of automatically generating a first draft of a presentation based on a prompt or an existing document, having a long presentation summarised, and refreshing existing slides with suggestions for layout and text. The condition is that your employer (or you) has a valid Microsoft 365 Copilot licence, because without a licence the features are not available in PowerPoint. The core of the bundle remains mastering the advanced and expert features of PowerPoint itself, such as slide masters, animations, charts and collaboration. Copilot is an addition, not a replacement for that foundation.

    No, the e-learning course uses a locked learning path: you only move on to the next topic once you have satisfactorily completed the assignment for the previous one. This applies to all 86 assignments in the bundle (44 in module 2, 42 in module 3). The advantage is that you do not carry any gaps in your knowledge over to advanced parts such as chart formatting, slide masters or collaborating on presentations. The drawback is that experienced users also have to complete the basic assignments for a topic. If you want to move freely through the material, a classroom-based Advanced or Expert course suits you better, because there the trainer decides together with you which parts to cover in more depth. In the e-learning course the structure takes the lead, not your existing knowledge per topic.

    The PowerPoint Advanced + Expert e-learning optionally covers how to use Microsoft 365 Copilot in PowerPoint. Copilot is the AI assistant that helps you build presentations, write slide texts, summarise long documents into slides and suggest designs and images. In the e-learning you see where Copilot sits in the ribbon, which prompts work well and where the limits lie, for example when your source file has too little structure. The Copilot section is an addition to the core of the course (masters, animations, charts, SmartArt and collaboration). You need a Microsoft 365 licence with Copilot to try out all the features yourself. Without a licence, you follow the section as an introduction.
