Who is the Team Leadership and Team Building course intended for?
The course is intended for team leaders, project leaders, managers and coordinators who want their team to work together and perform better. The content is also a good fit if you are about to lead a team for the first time or want to deepen your leadership further.
Which topics does the course cover?
You work on group roles, the phases of team development, trust and safety, motivation, decision-making, conflict handling and effective interventions. You also learn how to make use of the talents in your team and build a shared team culture.
Do I need any prior knowledge to take part?
No, no specific prior knowledge is required. It does help if you have experience of managing or guiding a group, as you can then work with your own practical examples straight away.
How large are the groups during the course?
We work with a maximum of eight participants per group. This leaves room for personal attention, sufficient practice time and a safe atmosphere in which to experiment with new skills.
Do I receive a certificate on completion?
Yes, on completion you receive a Learnit certificate of participation. This shows that you have attended the Team Leadership and Team Building course.
Can I also take the course in-company with my own team?
Yes, that is possible. Many teams opt for the in-company format precisely because it lets you work on your own cooperation together. We tailor the programme to the situation and goals of your team.
What is the difference between team leadership and team building?
Team leadership is about how you give direction, set goals and manage people. Team building focuses on the mutual bond, the trust and the cooperation within the group. In this course you combine the two: you learn to steer on results and on relationships.
Which phases does a team go through in its development?
A team often moves through phases such as forming, storming, norming and performing. In each phase the team asks something different of you as a leader. You learn to recognise those phases and to adapt your style accordingly, so that the team develops in a healthy way.
