What participants thought

  • “The course is a great help in managing your time better. Attention is paid to drawing up a sound and realistic plan. In addition, you work on your personal learning objectives for time management. A very instructive and good course.”

  • “For the first time since 1995, there is no longer a pile of paper on my desk, in my drawer or in my cupboard. That alone makes this course a success for me. A piece of paper should pass through your hands only once (it sounds simple, but just try it).”

W.M. ter Braake, NCCW - Time Management

  • “I found the Time Management course very surprising and very good. It goes much deeper than simply 'organising your time better'. It looks at your own working attitude, some of the psychology behind it and communication techniques. Absolutely an eye opener for me, and after day 1 I had already gained something from the course through certain insights and changing small things.”

    J. Nanninga- Time Management

  • “I thought it was a brilliant day and extremely helpful! You are supported and invited to map yourself out in a straightforward way: what kind of person are you and where are your peaks and troughs? Without giving too much away, it is a really enjoyable and interactive day that is well worth it. I am very enthusiastic about it.”

Frequently asked questions

Who is the Time Management course suitable for?
The Time Management course is suitable for anyone who feels short of time, experiences an imbalance between work and private life, or wants to bring more structure to their work. If you want to set your boundaries better or learn to delegate, this classroom course is a good fit too. No prior knowledge is required.
Which topics are covered during the Time Management course?
During the Time Management course you cover, among other things, the Eisenhower model for setting priorities, formulating SMART goals, delegating, assertiveness and managing stress using the RET method. You also work on communicating effectively, bringing structure to your work and practical tools. You finish with a personal action plan, so you can get started in your own practice straight away.
What does the teaching method of the Time Management course look like?
The Time Management course is classroom-based and lasts, alternating between concrete experience, experimenting with behaviour, reflection and theory. You practise with situations from your own working practice, which are gathered beforehand through an intake. Each exercise is given a brief theoretical framework. You finish with a personal action plan, so that you can get started straight away at work.
Do I receive a certificate after the Time Management course?
Yes, on completion of the Time Management course you receive a certificate of participation from Learnit. This certificate confirms that you attended both course days in full and took an active part in the practical exercises, theory blocks and the drawing up of your personal action plan. You can use the certificate for your portfolio or training record with your employer.
Can I also take the Time Management course in-company or as a bespoke course?
Yes, the Time Management course is available as an in-company course and can be tailored to your requirements. Beforehand, we use individual intakes to establish the learning objectives, practical experience and prior knowledge of the participants. On that basis we put together the final programme, so that the exercises match recognisable situations from your own working practice. In this way you work with the whole group on concrete improvements within your own organisation.
What is the difference between Learnit's Time Management course and a short online course or e-learning on productivity?
An e-learning or short online course mainly teaches you techniques: keeping to-do lists, drawing up a schedule or using apps. Learnit's classroom Time Management course goes a step further, because time management is essentially self-management. Alongside methods such as the Eisenhower model and SMART goals, you also work on assertiveness, delegating and stress management using the RET method. In addition, you practise with your own real-life situations, which are collected through an intake beforehand. A trainer gives you direct feedback on your behaviour, something e-learning cannot offer. The costs are higher. Choose this classroom course if you notice that you already understand the problem, but in practice get stuck on setting boundaries, making choices or a structurally high workload.
Which specific models and methods will I learn during Learnit's Time Management course?
During the Time Management course you work with three core models that you can apply straight away. You use the Eisenhower model to organise tasks by urgency and importance, so that you make conscious choices in planning your day. With the SMART method you formulate goals that are Specific, Measurable, Acceptable, Realistic and Time-bound, which makes intentions achievable. You use the RET method (Rational Effectiveness Training) for stress management: you examine limiting beliefs and thereby tackle the cause of work-related stress, not just the symptom. In addition, you learn to structure your work over the long, medium and short term, and you practise skills in delegating and assertiveness. The course is taught in a classroom setting. You finish with a personal action plan.
How do I know whether the Time Management course suits me, or whether I would be better off choosing coaching or a leadership programme?
Learnit's Time Management course is suitable if you want to get a grip on your own workload, priorities and planning. You will learn to work with models such as Eisenhower, SMART and RET, and you will practise assertiveness, delegating and dealing with stress. The course focuses on individual skills and behaviour. Opt for a team coaching programme or leadership course if the workload is structurally out of balance, if a team keeps falling back into old patterns, or if absenteeism and stress-related complaints persist despite earlier courses. In those cases the cause often lies in collaboration, expectations and communication within the system, rather than in individual skills. Learnit offers a no-obligation advisory conversation for this. The price for the classroom Time Management course.
