Do you feel you are always playing catch-up while the workload keeps growing? In this Time Management training course you get a grip on your priorities, learn to delegate and bring structure to your work. That leaves you with more time and more peace of mind.
Do you feel as though you are constantly playing catch-up and regularly running short of time? In this Time Management course you gain control over your work by distinguishing urgent tasks, setting priorities and bringing structure to your day.
Because time management is above all self-management, you also consider your role at work and your working relationships with colleagues. You work with the Eisenhower model, the SMART method and the RET method, among others, to tackle limiting beliefs. Skills such as assertiveness, delegating and dealing with stress are central.
You practise with situations from your own working life, which are gathered beforehand through an intake. Each exercise is supported by a clear piece of theory. You conclude the course with a personal action plan, which you can put to use in practice straight away.
During this course the following topics, among others, are covered:
You mainly practise with situations from your own working practice and conclude the course with a personal action plan.
After this course you set priorities effortlessly and make conscious choices in your work. You bring structure to tasks in the short, medium and long term, and recognise what is genuinely urgent and important using the Eisenhower model.
You are aware of your role at work and of the tasks on which you are assessed. As a result, you dare to delegate where you can and you indicate your boundaries clearly. With the SMART method you formulate achievable goals, and with the RET method you tackle limiting beliefs and stress at the source.
You leave the course with a personal action plan, practical tips and concrete tools to apply straight away in your own working practice. The result: more overview, less stress and a better balance between work and private life.
This course is suitable if you often feel you are short of time. Do you recognise yourself in one or more of these points?
You can no longer find a good balance between work and private life, your workload keeps increasing, you want more insight into and structure in your work, you want to be better at setting boundaries.
This list is of course not complete, because everyone is different. What would you like to focus on within the theme of time management?
During the course we alternate between concrete experience, experimenting with behaviour and techniques, reflection and exploring theory. In this way the programme suits different types of participants. There is plenty of action in the course, so that you actually experience the effect of new behaviour. You notice straight away what does and does not work for you.
We emphasise that you are responsible for your own development and that you take ownership of it. We invite you to reflect continuously and to make links with your day-to-day practice. Our aim is to increase your insight and to let you make the translation to practice yourself. That increases the chance of real behavioural change.
You do not need any specific prior knowledge for this course. Do you recognise the feeling of being short of time or of mounting pressure at work? Then you are very welcome. Before the course you will have an intake interview, so that we can tailor it closely to your situation.
This course works best if you don't schedule the days too far apart. Between day 1 and day 2 you practise what you have learned in your own work; on day 2 we discuss what works and what still causes friction. A short intake meeting takes place beforehand, so that we can match the course to your practice.
Would you like to organise this training for a whole group or several groups? This can be cost-effective. For example, we can tailor the content entirely to your organisation, and training a whole group is also cheaper.
Are you looking at large numbers of participants or a complete academy? That involves a great deal. Consider planning and communication, for example, or identifying and agreeing the objectives and content of the training. Or differences in level, feedback mechanisms and safeguarding. Fortunately, Learnit has extensive experience in this field (more than 25 years) and we are happy to help you through this process.
The training is given in Dutch as standard. The trainer has a good command of English. English-language course material can be used. With a minimum enrolment of 3 participants, the training can also be given entirely in English.
When would you like to start?
At Learnit you will always find a course that takes you further. From (technical) IT skills to communication or personal leadership. You can also choose the training format that suits you best: a classroom course, a tailor-made course at your own office, an online course or an e-learning. We have the right course and the right format for everyone. Because learning in the way that suits you best delivers the best results.
Personal attention and a pleasant atmosphere. Whether you take a course with us, at your office or on your own PC, we make sure you feel at home enough to push your boundaries.
New opportunities arise when you get moving. Stay sharp. Keep taking new steps. We encourage you to take the plunge and really go for it.
Discover something new. Build on your strengths. And choose your own path. We help you grow with training courses and learning formats that genuinely suit you.
We always think in terms of possibilities and win-win. And every day we work on new solutions for tomorrow. By offering training courses that leave you well prepared for the future.
We don't make empty promises. What we do offer is quality, knowledge and experience. A broad range of courses, made possible by our inspired staff and trainers.
We listen to what matters to you. To what you need. Because that is where our solution, our tailored approach, begins. Understanding each other properly and communicating clearly: that is what we believe in.
Taking a training course at Learnit means learning together. Together with your experienced trainer, together with your course group or together with your colleagues. And whether you take the training at home, at your office or at one of our training locations, we are always available to help you. To share our knowledge with you in a way that is genuinely useful to you. Getting further together through personal attention and understanding each other well; that is what we believe in.
Learning theory from a book that you can then hardly use in your work? Not at Learnit! Whichever training you take with us, you can put it to use at your workplace straight away. Because of the unique learning objectives you set together with the trainer at the start of the training. Because of the alternation between theory and (interactive) practical assignments. And by bringing the challenges you face in your daily work along to the training.
No suitable start date? Send us a date request. Then we will look together at how we can still meet your training needs.

"A pleasant course with a very experienced and agreeable course leader. The venue was very attractive and good. The course ran pleasantly in a nice and relaxed atmosphere. The content was very effective and recognisable, which makes the material easy to apply in the workplace."
C. Hilhorst – Ben Becker Int. Transportbedrijf B.V. – Time Management
“I have certainly become more aware of the pitfalls in planning. Everything always takes longer than you thought it would ;). I've been applying realistic planning every day since the course. Building in 10 minutes of rest in particular has helped me to have some energy left at the end of a working day.”
A. Eck - De Nieuwe Bibliotheek - Time Management
“The content of the course was good. It is good to work a lot with practical examples and reflection. It was good to look at your own personality and how that relates to whether or not you are able to manage your time. You can then put the theory into practice using examples. The level and the set-up of the course were pleasant and the pace was good. There are enough breaks to stay focused and to let everything sink in. The assignments and exercises are enjoyable to do and to discuss with one another in a group.”
D. Ruis, Kamer van Koophandel- Time Management
“I found the course very pleasant. The content was highly recognisable and matched my learning objectives. The time flew by.”
G. Pelusi - Bejo Zaden - Time Management
“I found the Time Management course very surprising and very good. It goes much deeper than simply 'organising your time better'. It looks at your own working attitude, some of the psychology behind it and communication techniques. Absolutely an eye opener for me, and after day 1 I had already gained something from the course through certain insights and changing small things.”
J. Nanninga- Time Management
“An enjoyable course that above all gives practical insights into time management.”
M.M. Twickler, Theater Zuidplein - Time Management
“Enjoyable course with a good balance between the theory and putting it into practice. The trainer was excellent too!”
A. Boerema - Westfriesland academie - Time Management
“Because the trainer had made contact beforehand, he knew quite well what my issue was and responded to this during the course. That was very pleasant. The trainer also took the time for each part and gives you the space to get to work with it.”
Y. Belderbos, Collect Car B.V. - Time Management
“A course that everyone attends to learn how to manage their time more efficiently. For each person this can mean a slightly different approach. What I liked about this course was that there was plenty of room for a personal approach. It was not a dry list of tips and tricks, but it gave me insight into my own way of working. I probably already knew a little, but during the course you become aware of it by talking about it with the trainer and the other participants. The lines of communication are short and the trainer explains things clearly and gives you enough input to move forward.”
I. van Lent, LEVS Architecten - Time Management
“This course gives you a picture of what you are doing wrong in your planning and offers suggestions for changing this if you want to.”
R. Brantjes, SBP B.V. De Zaak - Time Management
“Excellent course; the interaction with fellow participants was also very interesting and instructive. I was able to achieve my learning objectives within just a few days, mainly because this course focuses on your own situation.”
T. Harmsma, NUON – Time Management
“A very worthwhile course that will benefit you for the rest of your career and your private life. Pleasant atmosphere and a very experienced trainer. Well worth it!”
E Muller - LBH Netherlands - Time Management
“I got a lot out of this course because I now have more insight into the things I spend too much or too little time on. Some things you secretly already know about yourself, but the course gives you a bit of help with how to break through them. You receive information quickly and have good contact with the course leader along the way. I now make a list for the whole week and plan everything I intend to do in it. I also schedule more free time now, which is something that often falls by the wayside because I spend too long on a task. I definitely have more tools to make sure I have things more under control both at work and at home. Highly recommended!”
B. Schouffoer, Kennemerwonen - Time Management
“For the first time since 1995, there is no longer a pile of paper on my desk, in my drawer or in my cupboard. That alone makes this course a success for me. A piece of paper should pass through your hands only once (it sounds simple, but just try it).”
W.M. ter Braake, NCCW - Time Management
"An instructive and useful course! Good tips (which are also realistic) that you can apply in practice."
- Time Management
"A course that gives you just that nudge in the right direction. Things you already know somewhere, but don't quite connect in the right way on your own."
- Time Management
