What the course covers
Coaching is not a trick you simply apply. To guide others well, you have to know yourself. Because your most important instrument as a coach is you. In this Learnit programme you therefore work on both self-examination and practical coaching skills. You learn how to structure coaching conversations, how to deal with resistance and difficult situations and which intervention techniques you can use. Step by step you develop your own style of coaching.

Can the content be tailored to our organisation?
Yes. Before the course we discuss with you what the group can already do, where things go wrong in practice and what should be different afterwards. The trainer uses examples and exercises from your own work.
How large can the group be?
That depends on the course. For a skills course we prefer to work with a small group, so that everyone can really practise. If more people are involved, we schedule several groups or set up a fixed programme.

Yes, every participant receives a certificate of attendance afterwards.
How do I request a quote?
Via the quote form: state the course, the number of participants and roughly where and when you would like it. An adviser will then contact you.
What will I learn in this course?
You learn how to coach others effectively. You gain insight into your own qualities and pitfalls, learn to structure coaching conversations and apply various intervention techniques. You develop your own style and, afterwards, are able to set up and carry out a coaching programme independently.
Who is this course for?
The programme is suitable for anyone who wants to support others in their development. Think of managers, HR professionals, consultants, teachers and trainers. If your work regularly involves coaching conversations, this programme is a good fit too.
What prior knowledge do I need?
No specific prior knowledge is required. It is important, however, that you are open to self-reflection and feedback. You work actively on your own development and apply what you learn directly in your work.
What does the course look like?
You start with a personal intake interview. You then attend several blocks of classroom days at our training venue. Between the blocks you conduct real coaching conversations from your own practice. The programme concludes with an online conversation with the trainer.
What is the delivery format?
The programme is classroom-based and taught in a small group. You work with theory, assignments, exercises and role plays. There is plenty of room for your own cases and for feedback from the trainer and fellow participants.
Who teaches the course?
The programme is delivered by an experienced coach and trainer from Learnit. Our trainers bring years of practical experience and know how to bring theory and practice together in an instructive and safe group setting.
What do I get after the course?
You go home with a complete picture of yourself as a coach. You have practised intervention techniques, set up a coaching programme and developed your own style. You also receive a Learnit certificate as proof of participation.
How can I prepare?
During the personal intake we discuss your learning objectives. It helps to think in advance about what you want to learn and which situations from your work you would like to bring in. Concrete cases make the programme all the more valuable for you.
