Do you work in Excel every day and would you like to get results from your data faster with Microsoft 365 Copilot? In this course you learn how to use Copilot specifically for formulas, pivot tables, analyses and cleaning up datasets. You practise directly in your own Excel environment.
In this one-day course you will learn how to use Microsoft 365 Copilot within Excel to work faster and smarter. You work in your own Excel environment and practise with realistic examples from daily practice.
You start with the basics: what Copilot actually is, how to activate it and how to prompt effectively to get usable answers. After that you build up to more advanced applications. You have Copilot write and explain complex formulas, suggest pivot tables and charts based on your question, and clean up data by removing duplicates, normalising and filling in missing values.
You will also gain insight into what Copilot can and cannot do, which pitfalls to watch out for and how to validate the results. During the afternoon you work on a case of your own: bring a work file and apply Copilot directly to your own situation.
Afterwards you will receive a workbook with all the exercise files and a reference cheat sheet with the best Copilot prompts for Excel. The course is delivered in the classroom or online, with a maximum of 8 participants per group.
After this course, you will use Microsoft 365 Copilot in Excel purposefully in your daily work. You will know how to activate Copilot, how to prepare your data so that Copilot can work with it properly, and how to obtain useful answers with clear prompts.
Specifically, by the end you will be able to:
Do you work in Excel every day and want to achieve faster, smarter results with Microsoft 365 Copilot? Then this course is right for you.
The course is intended for:
You do not need any prior knowledge of AI. We do expect basic Excel skills: filtering, sorting and working with functions such as SUM, IF and VLOOKUP (or the newer XLOOKUP). Not sure about your level? Our Excel Basics course is a good preparation for this one.
For the course, you work in your own Microsoft 365 environment with a Copilot licence. Do you not have one yet? Then you can use the Learnit test environment.
You spend a full day working practically in your own Excel environment under the guidance of an experienced trainer. Short explanations alternate with hands-on practice: you are given a concept, apply it to realistic examples and see immediately what Copilot can and cannot do for you.
In the morning you build a solid foundation — from prompting to setting up your data correctly. In the afternoon you get to work with formulas, pivot tables, visualisations and cleaning up data. You finish with your own working file, so that you apply what you have learned directly to an issue from your day-to-day practice.
The group has a maximum of 8 participants, which leaves room for personal questions and feedback. The course can be followed in the classroom or online. You receive a workbook with all the exercise files and a cheat sheet with the 50 best Copilot prompts for Excel.
You have basic Excel skills: filtering, sorting and working with functions such as SUM, IF and VLOOKUP or XLOOKUP. No prior knowledge of AI is required. During the course you work in your own Microsoft 365 environment with an active Copilot licence.
For the course you work on your own laptop with Microsoft 365 and an active Copilot licence. Feel free to bring your own work file or dataset that you want to apply Copilot to straight away.
Would you like to organise this training for a whole group or several groups? This can be cost-effective. For example, we can tailor the content entirely to your organisation, and training a whole group is also cheaper.
Are you looking at large numbers of participants or a complete academy? That involves a great deal. Consider planning and communication, for example, or identifying and agreeing the objectives and content of the training. Or differences in level, feedback mechanisms and safeguarding. Fortunately, Learnit has extensive experience in this field (more than 25 years) and we are happy to help you through this process.
The training is given in Dutch as standard. The trainer has a good command of English. English-language course material can be used. With a minimum enrolment of 3 participants, the training can also be given entirely in English.
At Learnit you will always find a course that takes you further. From (technical) IT skills to communication or personal leadership. You can also choose the training format that suits you best: a classroom course, a tailor-made course at your own office, an online course or an e-learning. We have the right course and the right format for everyone. Because learning in the way that suits you best delivers the best results.
Personal attention and a pleasant atmosphere. Whether you take a course with us, at your office or on your own PC, we make sure you feel at home enough to push your boundaries.
New opportunities arise when you get moving. Stay sharp. Keep taking new steps. We encourage you to take the plunge and really go for it.
Discover something new. Build on your strengths. And choose your own path. We help you grow with training courses and learning formats that genuinely suit you.
We always think in terms of possibilities and win-win. And every day we work on new solutions for tomorrow. By offering training courses that leave you well prepared for the future.
We don't make empty promises. What we do offer is quality, knowledge and experience. A broad range of courses, made possible by our inspired staff and trainers.
We listen to what matters to you. To what you need. Because that is where our solution, our tailored approach, begins. Understanding each other properly and communicating clearly: that is what we believe in.
Taking a training course at Learnit means learning together. Together with your experienced trainer, together with your course group or together with your colleagues. And whether you take the training at home, at your office or at one of our training locations, we are always available to help you. To share our knowledge with you in a way that is genuinely useful to you. Getting further together through personal attention and understanding each other well; that is what we believe in.
Learning theory from a book that you can then hardly use in your work? Not at Learnit! Whichever training you take with us, you can put it to use at your workplace straight away. Because of the unique learning objectives you set together with the trainer at the start of the training. Because of the alternation between theory and (interactive) practical assignments. And by bringing the challenges you face in your daily work along to the training.
No suitable start date? Send us a date request. Then we will look together at how we can still meet your training needs.

You can find the current price at the top right of this course page, along with the schedule, location and delivery format. For in-company or bespoke courses we are happy to provide a quotation on request.
You need basic Excel skills: filtering, sorting and working with functions such as SUM, IF and VLOOKUP or XLOOKUP. Prior knowledge of AI or Copilot is not required. If you are unsure about your level, our Excel Basics course is a good preparation.
The course is intended for anyone who works in Excel on a daily basis and wants to get results with Microsoft 365 Copilot. Think of employees who work extensively with spreadsheets, analysts and controllers, and project leaders and managers who want to gain insight from figures quickly.
You will learn to activate Copilot, prepare your data properly and prompt effectively. You have complex formulas built for you with an explanation, generate pivot tables and charts based on your question, discover trends in datasets and clean up data by removing duplicates, normalising and filling in missing values. You will also learn to recognise the limits of Copilot and to validate the results.
Yes. You can attend the course in a classroom at one of our locations or online via Microsoft Teams. For teams within an organisation we also offer in-company versions, in which we tailor the programme to your own data and working processes. Contact us to discuss the options.
Yes, after taking part you receive a certificate of attendance from Learnit. With it you can demonstrate that you have followed the course and can use Copilot in Excel purposefully in your work.
You work in your own Excel environment with an active Microsoft 365 Copilot licence. Short blocks of theory alternate with hands-on exercises using realistic datasets. You receive a workbook with practice files and a cheat sheet of useful prompts, so that you can put everything to use in your daily work straight away.
Videos show what Copilot can do, but not how to apply it specifically to your own data and questions. In this course you practise under the guidance of an experienced trainer, receive direct feedback on your prompts and formulas and work on your own case. That way you leave with a concrete result instead of just theory.
In the final part of the course you work on your own file or case. This lets you bring in an issue from your day-to-day practice and apply Copilot to it directly. With the cheatsheet and practice files to hand, you can carry on building on what you have learned the next working day.
Excel Advanced and Excel for Data Analysis focus on classic Excel functionality: advanced formulas, pivot tables and analysis techniques that you build yourself. Excel with Copilot is about reaching those results faster by using Copilot in a targeted way. The courses follow on well from one another: first learn what Excel can do, then use Copilot to speed that work up.
Certainly. Controllers and finance staff often work with large datasets, reports and repetitive analyses. In the course you see how Copilot helps you build formulas, set up pivot tables, clean up data and spot trends. You can bring your own financial dataset to practise with straight away.
Copilot gives quick answers, but not always the right one. In the course you learn to validate results critically and to recognise the limits of the model, so that you catch errors in formulas or interpretations. We also consider the context in which Copilot processes your company data within your Microsoft 365 environment, so that you handle sensitive information consciously.
