A 19-minute walk from Amsterdam Centraal. A 4-minute walk from the 'Muziekgebouw Bimhuis' tram stop. A 3-minute walk from the 'Piet Heinkade' bus stop.
Very close by (but pricey) - Piet Hein car park
Directly beneath the Muziekgebouw you can park in the Piet Hein car park.
Cheaper alternative - Parking Oosterdok (Oosterdokstraat 150)
The entrance is beneath the Amsterdam Conservatorium. This is at the rear of the Openbare Bibliotheek Amsterdam. On Oosterdokseiland, follow the signs for 'Parking Oosterdok'. From this car park it is about a 10-minute walk to the Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ. From Parking Oosterdok it is a 10-minute walk. Follow the Annie M.G. Schmidtstraat to the end, as far as the Oosterdoksstraat. Here you turn right until you reach the water and then walk to the left, underneath all the rail, road and tram viaducts. There you can take the steel staircase up and you will come out on the Piet Heinkade. From here you will see the Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ on your left.
Please note: parking costs are at your own expense.

“A pleasant trainer who adapts seamlessly to the needs of the participants. Theory that can be readily applied in practice, which makes the course valuable. Easy to follow for beginners, but also a useful addition for people with a financial background.”
Z. Groise - YER Nederland B.V. - Project Finance
"A course you can actually put to use in practice! Pleasant trainer who also responds to the participants' wishes."

"An enjoyable course which (in my case) can be applied directly in practice. The theory ties in well with reality and the examples are very recognisable."
- Project Finance
"The quality of the course was very good. The approach meant that it matched my learning objectives completely. The level and pace were easy to follow but still offered enough of a challenge."

You learn how, as a project leader, to draw up a realistic project budget, recognise financial risks and keep your project financially under control. Topics covered include the project plan, investment analyses, budget monitoring, financial reporting and obtaining preparatory funding.
The course is intended for project leaders, project managers and programme managers who want to deepen their knowledge of the financial side of projects. Advisers, consultants and line managers who run or assess projects can also get a great deal out of this course.
No, no specific prior knowledge is required. Some experience in leading or supporting projects is useful, but not a requirement. You do not need a financial background: we start with the basics and build on from there.
Yes, on completing the course you will receive a Learnit certificate of attendance. This certificate confirms that you have taken the Project Finance course and can be added to your portfolio or CV.
The course alternates theory with short practical cases, exercises and discussions. You relate what you have learned back to your own work situation each time, so that you can apply it straight away. The course material includes practical checklists and overviews that you can continue to use in your own projects afterwards.
Yes, the Project Finance course is available as a scheduled course and as an in-company or tailor-made course. In an in-company programme we tailor the content and cases to the practice of your organisation. Contact us for a no-obligation conversation about the possibilities.
A project stands or falls with sound financial management. As project manager, you are responsible for delivering results within the agreed parameters, including the budget. Financial knowledge allows you to identify risks at an early stage, make timely adjustments and account for your decisions to clients, stakeholders and the finance department.
Budget monitoring is the continuous process in which you track, throughout the project, whether actual expenditure stays within the agreed budget. Financial reporting is the periodic reporting on this to clients, the steering group or the finance department. The two are closely linked: without proper monitoring you have no reliable reporting.
Small groups, also in-company at your office.
