Where does the in-company Agile Project Management Foundation course take place?
Wherever suits you: at your office, at one of our training locations or online. You also choose the date.
Can the content be tailored to our organisation?
Yes. Before the course we discuss with you what the group can already do, where things go wrong in practice and what should be different afterwards. The trainer uses examples and exercises from your own work.
How large can the group be?
That depends on the course. For a skills course we prefer to work with a small group, so that everyone can really practise. If more people are involved, we schedule several groups or set up a fixed programme.
What does Agile Project Management Foundation in-company cost?
You receive a fixed price for the whole group, in a tailored quote. For a group this works out cheaper than booking everyone individually. By way of comparison: a place on the scheduled course costs € 1300,- excl. VAT per participant.
Can the course be delivered in English?
Yes. For in-company courses we deliver the training in the language of your choice, Dutch or English. Mention it in your request.
Do participants receive a certificate?
Yes, every participant receives a certificate of attendance afterwards.
How do I request a quote?
Via the quote form: state the course, the number of participants and roughly where and when you would like it. An adviser will then contact you.
How long does the Agile Project Management Foundation course take and where can I find the current price?
The Agile Project Management Foundation course takes two consecutive days. You follow the course in a classroom setting in a small group, guided by an experienced trainer. The current price per person can be found on the course page. Would you like to certify? You can book the official EXIN exam separately; those costs are also listed on the course page. You take the exam online under the supervision of a proctor, at a time that suits you.
What prior knowledge do you need for the Agile Project Management Foundation course?
No specific prior knowledge is required for the Agile Project Management Foundation course. Some experience of working on projects is useful, but not a requirement. The classroom course starts with the basics: the philosophy, principles and roles within Agile and scrum. After that you get straight to work with the Agile Framework, the MoSCoW method and timeboxing, using practical examples.
Do you receive a certificate with the Agile Project Management Foundation course?
After completing the Agile Project Management Foundation course you receive a certificate of participation from Learnit. Would you like to obtain an official, internationally recognised certificate? Then book the EXIN Agile Project Management Foundation exam separately. You can find the current exam costs on the course page or request them when registering. You sit this exam online at a time that suits you, supervised by a proctor via webcam and microphone.
What is the difference between Agile project management and PRINCE2?
Agile project management delivers results in short, flexible sprints, whereas PRINCE2 works with a predefined project structure and phasing. With Agile you steer on speed, collaboration and adaptability; with PRINCE2 on control, documentation and predictability. In the Agile Project Management Foundation course you learn to recognise these differences and discover when working in an Agile way delivers the most for your projects.
Who is the Agile Project Management Foundation course suitable for?
The Agile Project Management Foundation course is intended for project managers who work in an Agile environment or are about to. Information managers, business analysts, functional designers, product developers and software engineers also complete this classroom course successfully. You learn to apply Agile principles, scrum roles and tools such as MoSCoW and timeboxing in your day-to-day practice.
What does a course day of the Agile Project Management Foundation course look like?
The Agile Project Management Foundation course consists of two classroom days led by an experienced trainer. Day 1 focuses on theory: Agile philosophy, scrum roles and team structure. On day 2 you work practically with the Agile Framework, timeboxing and the MoSCoW method, using examples from your own working practice. Up-to-date course material is included.
How does this classroom course compare with an online self-study route for Agile Project Management Foundation?
A self-study route works fine if you mainly want to go through the theory and set your own pace. Learnit's classroom Agile Project Management Foundation course takes a different approach. The difference comes down to three things. First, you practise the Agile Framework, MoSCoW and timeboxing using examples from your own working practice, with direct feedback from the trainer. Second, you discuss scrum roles, team structure and collaboration with other participants, which is hard to replicate in self-study. Third, you are specifically prepared for the official Agile Project Management Foundation exam, which you can book as an optional extra. Current rates can be found on the course page. Choose the classroom course if interaction, practical application and exam preparation matter to you; choose self-study if budget and flexibility weigh more heavily.
When is it worthwhile to book the official Agile Project Management Foundation exam straight away alongside the course?
Booking the exam as well makes sense if you need the certification for your role, an assignment or your CV. The course prepares you in terms of content for EXIN's official Agile Project Management Foundation exam. The course ends with dedicated exam preparation. The current costs for the course and the exam can be found on the course page. You schedule the exam online at a time that suits you and sit it at home; a proctor monitors via webcam and microphone. Would you rather just learn to apply Agile in your projects without a certificate? Then you can skip the exam. When registering, state in the comments field that you wish to book the exam.
