Microsoft Teams is a powerful package, but without clear working agreements you quickly lose track. In this course you will learn how to set up and use Teams effectively for day-to-day collaboration with colleagues and external parties.
Working in Teams goes beyond chatting and video calling. You learn to set up teams and channels, share files, schedule meetings and make use of the link with OneDrive and SharePoint. This allows you to collaborate in a structured way, both from the office and from home.
During the course you will practise with the elements that are relevant to your work. The trainer will take you through the interface, show you how to adjust settings and give tips on keeping Teams manageable when you have many projects and conversations.
There is plenty of room for your own questions and practical situations. Are you stuck on a particular function, or do you want to know how to tackle something more efficiently? You get an immediate answer from an experienced trainer.
After this course you work with more calm and structure in Microsoft Teams. You know how to set up teams and channels, share files, organise meetings and collaborate with colleagues and external partners. You also adapt Teams to your own way of working, so that you have your notifications, display and settings under control.
This course is intended for anyone who works with Microsoft Teams, or is about to, and wants to get more out of it. Think of team members, project staff and administrators who want to improve collaboration through video meetings within their organisation.
You work in a small group with an experienced trainer. Short explanations alternate with exercises in your own environment, so that you immediately apply what you learn. There is plenty of room for your own questions and situations from your working practice.
You have a basic knowledge of working with Windows and Office. Experience with Teams is not required.
Would you like to organise this training for a whole group or several groups? This can be cost-effective. For example, we can tailor the content entirely to your organisation, and training a whole group is also cheaper.
Are you looking at large numbers of participants or a complete academy? That involves a great deal. Consider planning and communication, for example, or identifying and agreeing the objectives and content of the training. Or differences in level, feedback mechanisms and safeguarding. Fortunately, Learnit has extensive experience in this field (more than 25 years) and we are happy to help you through this process.
The training is given in Dutch as standard. The trainer has a good command of English. English-language course material can be used. With a minimum enrolment of 3 participants, the training can also be given entirely in English.
At Learnit you will always find a course that takes you further. From (technical) IT skills to communication or personal leadership. You can also choose the training format that suits you best: a classroom course, a tailor-made course at your own office, an online course or an e-learning. We have the right course and the right format for everyone. Because learning in the way that suits you best delivers the best results.
Personal attention and a pleasant atmosphere. Whether you take a course with us, at your office or on your own PC, we make sure you feel at home enough to push your boundaries.
New opportunities arise when you get moving. Stay sharp. Keep taking new steps. We encourage you to take the plunge and really go for it.
Discover something new. Build on your strengths. And choose your own path. We help you grow with training courses and learning formats that genuinely suit you.
We always think in terms of possibilities and win-win. And every day we work on new solutions for tomorrow. By offering training courses that leave you well prepared for the future.
We don't make empty promises. What we do offer is quality, knowledge and experience. A broad range of courses, made possible by our inspired staff and trainers.
We listen to what matters to you. To what you need. Because that is where our solution, our tailored approach, begins. Understanding each other properly and communicating clearly: that is what we believe in.
Taking a training course at Learnit means learning together. Together with your experienced trainer, together with your course group or together with your colleagues. And whether you take the training at home, at your office or at one of our training locations, we are always available to help you. To share our knowledge with you in a way that is genuinely useful to you. Getting further together through personal attention and understanding each other well; that is what we believe in.
Learning theory from a book that you can then hardly use in your work? Not at Learnit! Whichever training you take with us, you can put it to use at your workplace straight away. Because of the unique learning objectives you set together with the trainer at the start of the training. Because of the alternation between theory and (interactive) practical assignments. And by bringing the challenges you face in your daily work along to the training.
No suitable start date? Send us a date request. Then we will look together at how we can still meet your training needs.

“A very interesting course that I have got a great deal out of. I will certainly be applying things within our company that I learned during the course. I have also gained a completely different view of the company I work for. Only now do I really see which things could be improved with us. And I will certainly be working on that.”
M. Aafjes, Hiltex Technische Weefsels B.V.- Team leadership and team building
“Under highly professional guidance, as a team of 18 people we made real progress in just 4 half-day sessions in the area of expectations and communication with each other. There turned out to be more beneath the surface than we had thought beforehand; this came out into the open and was discussed properly. We evaluate the agreements together every two years in order to keep to what we agreed.”
N. Rozinga - Hogeschool Rotterdam- Team coaching Professionalising/Excelling team
“Learnit is a professional organisation; I have personally made use of the courses offered to me several times and in various ways. I have got a lot out of them personally, and I still apply part of it in practice every day. Importantly, Learnit does not stop after a day's training, but continues to give the client the attention they need in the period afterwards.”
W. Pater, Brandweer Barneveld- Team building
“Learnit is a professional organisation that listens beforehand and then responds well to the client's wishes.”

You will learn how to use Microsoft Teams for collaboration, communication and file sharing. This includes creating and structuring teams and channels, chatting, holding meetings, working on documents together and the link with OneDrive for Business. You will also learn how to adjust settings and notifications to suit the way you work.
The course is suitable for anyone who works with Microsoft Teams, or is about to, and wants to learn to use the package more effectively. Team members, project staff and administrators are all welcome. No prior knowledge of Teams is required.
No, specific prior knowledge of Microsoft Teams is not required. It does help if you are familiar with Windows and Office, as Teams is part of Microsoft 365.
Yes, afterwards you receive a Learnit certificate of participation. This shows that you have successfully completed the course.
Yes, you can follow the Microsoft Teams course as a classroom course on location, online in a virtual classroom or in-company at your organisation. For in-company courses we tailor the content to the working methods and agreements within your company.
You practise in a training environment, but your own working practice and questions get plenty of attention. In an online or in-company course you can often work with your own Teams account, so that you learn in the environment you use every day.
A team is a group of people working together on a shared goal, project or within a department. Within a team you create channels to separate conversations and files by topic. This keeps collaboration manageable, even when many projects or themes are running at the same time.
You place files in a channel or attach them to a chat. Behind the scenes they are stored in SharePoint or OneDrive for Business, so that version control and permissions are automatically taken care of. For external parties you can invite guest users or generate a specific sharing link, depending on the settings within your organisation. During the course the trainer shows you the best approach for your situation.
Start by hiding or pinning the channels you use daily, and only switch on notifications for what really matters. Use the search bar to quickly find messages or files, and use the Activity tab to stay up to date. During the course you practise with these settings, so that you set up Teams in a way that keeps your working day calm.
Microsoft Teams is the collaboration and communication environment where you chat, meet and work with your team. SharePoint is the storage and document management environment behind the teams and channels. OneDrive for Business is your personal cloud storage, where you keep files that have not yet been shared with a team. The three work closely together: a file in a channel is actually stored in SharePoint, and you can share private files from OneDrive directly from a chat.
A good Teams meeting starts with a clear agenda and the right participants in the invitation. Use the chat during the meeting for links or questions, share your screen when needed and make agreements visible through notes or a shared document. Afterwards the chat and any recordings can be found again in the conversation, so that those who were absent can read along. In the course you receive practical tips for keeping meetings both short and productive.
