What others say about this course

  • “Learnit is a professional organisation; I have personally made use of the courses offered to me several times and in various ways. I have got a lot out of them personally, and I still apply part of it in practice every day. Importantly, Learnit does not stop after a day's training, but continues to give the client the attention they need in the period afterwards.”

    Frequently asked questions

The Microsoft Teams e-learning course takes approximately 7 hours to complete. You get 9 months' access to the course material, so you decide when and at what pace you study. The course consists of 19 lesson videos, 19 assignments and a file with additional information. You can always stop part-way through and continue later, as your progress is saved automatically.

The Microsoft Teams e-learning is suitable for anyone who wants to collaborate more efficiently in Office 365 with Teams. Think of employees, project leaders and teams who want to meet online, chat and share files. No prior knowledge is required. You work through 19 lesson videos and assignments at your own pace, without any installation. Ideal if you want to learn flexibly alongside your work.

No, you need no specific prior knowledge for the Microsoft Teams e-learning. Basic experience of working with a computer and the internet is sufficient. The course begins with an introduction to Teams and builds up step by step to more advanced features such as online meetings, shared files and channel management. You complete each module with an assignment, so you only move on once you have mastered the material.

No, you do not need to install anything. The Microsoft Teams e-learning is offered entirely in the cloud. You log in via a website and start the course straight away in your browser. Microsoft Teams or an Office suite does not need to be installed on your computer. This means you can work on the course at home, at the office or on the move, as long as you have an internet connection.

Yes, on completion of the e-learning you receive a certificate of participation. Your progress is clearly tracked during the course and can also be viewed by your manager if required. This shows that you have mastered the functionality of Microsoft Teams, from managing teams and channels to online meetings and collaborating on files.

Yes, you can pause the Microsoft Teams e-learning course at any time and continue later from where you left off. Your progress is saved automatically, so you will not lose anything. This makes the course ideal to follow at your own pace, alongside your work or other commitments. Within the access period you decide yourself when you study.

The e-learning consists of 19 video lessons, 19 assignments and a file with additional information. You work independently at your own pace and have 9 months' access. The duration is around 7 hours, which you can spread over several sessions. A classroom Teams course usually takes a day on a fixed date, with a trainer who answers questions directly and goes through the exercises with you. Choose the e-learning if you want to plan flexibly, be able to review material and test yourself through assignments. You only move on to the next topic once you have sufficiently mastered the previous one. A classroom day is a better fit if you need direct interaction and the chance to spar with the trainer and fellow participants. The content (teams, channels, meetings, sharing files) is comparable in both formats. Copilot in Teams is covered optionally.

Yes, the e-learning course optionally covers Microsoft Teams in combination with Microsoft 365 Copilot. Copilot is the AI assistant within Teams that helps you with daily tasks: summarising meetings, extracting action points from a conversation, searching through chats and drafting messages. You learn how to use Copilot during and after an online meeting, and how to use the AI to navigate long conversations in a channel more quickly. Please note: to use Copilot in Teams you need a separate Microsoft 365 Copilot licence from your organisation. The basic functionality of Teams (channels, chats, meetings, file sharing) remains the main subject of the course. The Copilot part is an addition for those who work with it in practice.

Learnit's Microsoft Teams e-learning is a structured programme of 19 lesson videos, 19 assignments and a file with additional information. It takes around 7 hours to complete and you have access for 9 months. The difference with YouTube or Microsoft Learn lies in three things. First, the learning path is built up in a fixed order: from creating teams and channels, to conversations and meetings, through to sharing files and collaborating. Second, you check your knowledge for each topic with an assignment and can only move on once it is up to standard. Third, your progress is recorded and can be viewed by your manager if required, which is useful for corporate learning paths. YouTube offers separate explanations per feature. This e-learning offers a complete curriculum with progress tracking.

Choose the e-learning if you want to study independently, set your own pace and mainly master the practical features of Teams. You get 9 months' access, with 19 video lessons, 19 assignments and a duration of around 7 hours. You can stop at any time, your progress is saved and you can review the material as often as you like within the licence. A classroom course is a better fit if you need direct interaction with a trainer, want to ask questions about your own working situation or want to practise scenarios together with colleagues. Do you work in a team that is just introducing Teams and would you like everyone to learn at their own pace? Then the e-learning is often the more practical choice. Copilot in Teams is covered optionally.

Yes, that is possible. The Microsoft Teams e-learning course consists of 19 lesson videos, 19 assignments and a file with additional information, and you retain access for 9 months. Within that period you can review and work through topics as often as you like. That makes the course suitable as a reference work: an employee who later has questions about channels, online meetings or working on files together can go straight back to that section. For departments this is practical, because everyone works at their own pace and progress is visible to a manager. If you want several employees to start at the same time, you can purchase licences per participant through Learnit. For a joint learning path with guidance and practice based on your own working situations, a classroom-based or in-company course is a more logical choice.

Copilot in Microsoft Teams is the AI assistant that helps you with meetings, chats and collaboration. In practical terms, you can have Copilot summarise a meeting, list action points, summarise discussions you missed in a channel and answer questions about what has been discussed. It only works if your organisation has a Microsoft 365 Copilot licence (separate from the standard Teams licence). In this Microsoft Teams e-learning course, Copilot is covered as an optional topic, alongside the core subjects such as managing teams and channels, online meetings and working on files together. The focus is on Teams itself. The Copilot section is an addition, not a full Copilot course. If you want to learn to work with Copilot in depth, a separate Microsoft 365 Copilot course is a better fit.
