A good project plan is the basis for a successful project. You learn how to structure a project plan, which chapters belong in it and how to write it so that the client and the team know exactly where they stand.

Ratings from participants after completing their course, across all courses by this trainer.
“The 'Writing a Project Plan' course is ideally suited to those who have completed the 'Project Management' course or who are encountering project-based working for the first time. The interactive way of teaching, and in particular the follow-up (writing a project plan for an existing or fictitious project as a homework assignment, which the trainer then comments on), makes the course highly instructive and above all practically applicable.”
“The course has given me a very usable tool for drawing up a sound plan of action.”
"The course was very instructive. Theory and practice were combined extremely well. It was very pleasant to be taught in a small group, which gave me even more opportunity to achieve my learning objectives."
"The materials (the book, the videos and the downloads) are very good. They alone give you solid tools to get started with a book. Hans focused mainly on the most important matters and we worked through a number of assignments. Those really stuck. I now know what matters at the start of my project and I can use the templates that LearnIt provides. I can also call on Hans along the way. That is very pleasant and personal!"
"Pleasant, interactive course with an experienced teacher."
"Practical tools to get started with projects."
Wherever suits you: at your office, at one of our training locations or online. You also choose the date.
Yes. Before the course we discuss with you what the group can already do, where things go wrong in practice and what should be different afterwards. The trainer uses examples and exercises from your own work.
That depends on the course. For a skills course we prefer to work with a small group, so that everyone can really practise. If more people are involved, we schedule several groups or set up a fixed programme.
You get a fixed price for the whole group, in a tailored quotation. For a group this works out cheaper than registering everyone individually. For comparison: a place on the scheduled course costs EUR 625,- excl. VAT per participant.
Yes. For in-company courses we deliver the training in the language of your choice, Dutch or English. Mention it in your request.
Yes, every participant receives a certificate of attendance afterwards.
Via the quote form: state the course, the number of participants and roughly where and when you would like it. An adviser will then contact you.
You will learn how to draw up a solid project plan for projects of limited complexity. You will work through a complete chapter structure, from objective and project assignment to planning, costs, quality and risk analysis. You apply it directly to your own project and, after the course day, you receive digital feedback on your draft twice.
The course is intended for (prospective) project leaders and project managers in profit and non-profit organisations. Employees who regularly lead projects without formal project management training will also get a great deal out of it. You do not need any specific prior knowledge, but some experience with projects is useful.
A good plan of action includes, among other things, the background, objectives and problem definition, project assignment, activities, project boundaries and preconditions, deliverables, quality requirements, project organisation, planning, costs and benefits, and a risk analysis. During the course you learn what belongs in each section and how to make it concrete.
Yes. After the course day you write your own draft project plan and submit it digitally. The trainer will provide you with extensive feedback by email. You then have time to develop your plan further and submit it once more for a second round of feedback.
We work with small groups of no more than ten participants. This leaves plenty of room for personal attention and allows us to link the material closely to your own project and working situation.
Yes. On completing the course you receive a Learnit certificate of participation. It states that you have attended the Writing a Project Plan course.
In practice the terms are often used interchangeably. A plan of action is usually a more concise document focusing on the approach to a specific project, whereas a project plan is sometimes broader and more extensive. In this course we focus on the plan of action as a practical working document for projects of limited complexity.
That depends on the size and complexity of your project. For a relatively small project, a solid first version often takes you one to three working days. By using the structure and checklists from the course you work faster and miss fewer components.
Request a quote without obligation and you will hear from an adviser soon. Coming with one or two colleagues? Writing a Project Plan is scheduled 3 times over the coming year, in Amsterdam and Rotterdam.
