Would you like to make Access work smarter and faster? In this two-day course you delve into VBA and automate common tasks. You learn to write and adapt code in the VBA editor and work with the Access object model. The result: working more efficiently with your databases.
In this course you will get to work with VBA in Access. You will learn how to generate and adapt code using the VBA editor, and you will be introduced to the object model and the specific objects in Access.
You work with subroutines, custom functions, variables, loops and Docmd objects, among other things. ADO techniques, debugging and error handling are also covered. An experienced trainer tailors the content to your starting level and learning objectives, so that you practise specifically with topics that are relevant to you. You can bring your own practical examples to work on straight away.
After this course you will be able to automate common tasks in Access using VBA. You will write your own subroutines and functions, work with variables, loops and conditions, and use Docmd objects and ADO to control data. You will also learn to trace errors and handle them properly. The result: working with Access faster and with more enjoyment.
This training course is intended for Access users who want to automate tasks with VBA. You have experience with Access and want to go a step further by writing and adapting code yourself. Some basic knowledge of programming is handy, but not a requirement.
You take this course in our open learning format. This means that on a day of your choice you work through your own course material, while an experienced trainer is present in the room to guide you. You work at your own pace and ask questions whenever you get stuck. That way you decide for yourself where to place the focus and which topics deserve extra attention. Do you have a practical example of your own? Feel free to bring it along and work on it directly during the course.
You need experience with Access at user level. You know how to create and use tables, queries, forms and reports. Programming experience is not required, but it is useful if you have worked with macros before.
You take this course in our open learning format: you work independently on assignments at your own pace, with an experienced trainer alongside you for explanation and questions. This way you decide for yourself where to spend extra time and which topics to work through more quickly.
This training is offered on the basis of our Open Learning teaching method. This means that you work independently, with active guidance from our trainer, to master the material. That way you can achieve your learning objectives at your own pace, without being held back by fellow participants working faster or slower. The trainer makes sure that you stay on schedule and meet your learning objectives. This form of learning leaves room for a tailored approach. You have the opportunity to bring in examples from your own practice and IT environment, so that your learning is even more specific. more...
The training is given in Dutch as standard. The trainer has a good command of English. English-language course material can be used. With a minimum enrolment of 3 participants, the training can also be given entirely in English.

Because of the unique learning objectives you set together with the trainer at the start of the training. Because of the alternation between theory and (interactive) practical assignments. And by bringing the challenges you face in your daily work along to the training.
