You already know how to share information and collaborate in SharePoint. In this follow-up course you go further and learn how to build, manage and optimise advanced sites for your team or project.

Description

SharePoint is much more than a place to store documents. The platform offers powerful ways to streamline processes, manage projects and organise collaboration with colleagues inside and outside your organisation. During this course you learn how to put those possibilities to use.

You get to work on setting up project, community and blog sites, configuring workflows and applying templates and corporate identity. You also learn to add interactive apps such as surveys and forms, and how to set up rights and permissions sensibly.

The course has a practical set-up. You work with realistic assignments and can even bring in your own issues from your working environment, so that afterwards you can carry straight on in your own SharePoint environment.

Topics

  • Determining a site structure that suits your organisation
  • Setting up project, community and blog sites
  • Working with templates and corporate identity
  • Interactive apps such as surveys and forms
  • Setting up and managing workflows
  • Sharing sites internally and externally
  • Setting up rights and permissions
  • Links with Outlook and Microsoft Project
  • Managing and optimising a site
  • Practical examples of SharePoint sites

Result

After this course, you can independently set up more complex SharePoint sites and manage them with confidence. You know how to configure workflows, assign permissions and optimise sites for collaboration. You can also apply templates and corporate branding and deploy interactive apps, so you make full use of SharePoint as a platform for your team or project.

Target audience

This course is intended for anyone who already works with SharePoint and wants to make further use of the platform's possibilities. Think of site administrators, project leaders, team leads and staff who are responsible for setting up or managing a SharePoint environment within their organisation.

Teaching method

You are taught in a classroom setting by an experienced and personable trainer in a small group. At the start of the course, the trainer discusses your starting level and what you want to get out of the course. You work with practical assignments and can bring in your own questions to work on them specifically.

Prior knowledge

You need a basic knowledge of SharePoint or to have taken the SharePoint Basics course. Experience of working in a team site is an advantage.

Language

The training is given in Dutch as standard. The trainer has a good command of English. English-language course material can be used. With a minimum enrolment of 3 participants, the training can also be given entirely in English.
