Customers who pay late cost your organisation money, time and energy. Well-organised credit control prevents that problem. During this course you learn how to set up an efficient accounts receivable administration and keep it in order. You gain insight into payment behaviour, legal ground rules and conversation techniques. That way you turn non-paying customers back into paying customers, without the relationship suffering.
When customers pay late, it costs your organisation interest and puts pressure on cash flow. A strong accounts receivable administration prevents these kinds of problems. In this course you will learn how to set up, structure and maintain that administration. You will discover what to look out for at an early stage, how to carry out a risk analysis and how to assess in advance whether a customer is able to pay your invoice.
Alongside the administrative side, we pay attention to the human aspect. You learn how to recognise customer behaviour, how to deal with resistance and how to conduct the conversation with customers who do not pay. The legal aspects and the various reminder and debt collection procedures are also covered. The starting point throughout remains: a healthy financial situation for your business and a good relationship with your customers.
After this course you will be able to set up and maintain a structured accounts receivable administration. You will know how to carry out a risk analysis and which signals to pick up on early. You will conduct collection conversations with more composure and greater effect, and you will know the legal frameworks within which you work. In this way you contribute to a healthier cash flow while maintaining a good relationship with your customers.
This course is intended for anyone who works in accounts receivable administration or is about to start doing so. If you are responsible for the accounts receivable policy within your organisation, or if you regularly conduct collection conversations with customers as part of the financial administration, you have come to the right place. You will learn both the technical and the communicative side of the profession.
Theory and practice alternate continuously. You practise straight away with recognisable cases, so that you really master the material. You receive plenty of personal attention and room for your own questions. Our experienced trainer makes sure you can apply what you have learned in your work immediately. It helps if you bring your own practical examples. Let Learnit know in advance, so the trainer can take this into account.
No specific prior knowledge is required for this course. Some affinity with figures and administration will help you along, but is not a requirement. Do you already have experience with accounts receivable management? Then you can deepen and sharpen that knowledge during the course.
Would you like to organise this training for a whole group or several groups? This can be cost-effective. For example, we can tailor the content entirely to your organisation, and training a whole group is also cheaper.
Are you looking at large numbers of participants or a complete academy? That involves a great deal. Consider planning and communication, for example, or identifying and agreeing the objectives and content of the training. Or differences in level, feedback mechanisms and safeguarding. Fortunately, Learnit has extensive experience in this field (more than 25 years) and we are happy to help you through this process.
The training is given in Dutch as standard. The trainer has a good command of English. English-language course material can be used. With a minimum enrolment of 3 participants, the training can also be given entirely in English.
At Learnit you will always find a course that takes you further. From (technical) IT skills to communication or personal leadership. We listen to what matters to you. To what you need. Because that is where our solution, our tailored approach, begins. Understanding each other properly and communicating clearly: that is what we believe in.
Taking a training course at Learnit means learning together. Together with your experienced trainer, together with your course group or together with your colleagues. And whether you take the training at home, at your office or at one of our training locations, we are always available to help you. To share our knowledge with you in a way that is genuinely useful to you. Getting further together through personal attention and understanding each other well; that is what we believe in.
Learning theory from a book that you can then hardly use in your work? Not at Learnit! Whichever training you take with us, you can put it to use at your workplace straight away. Because of the unique learning objectives you set together with the trainer at the start of the training. Because of the alternation between theory and (interactive) practical assignments. And by bringing the challenges you face in your daily work along to the training.
No suitable start date? Send us a date request. Then we will look together at how we can still meet your training needs.

- Accounts Receivable Management
"Even after 9 years of work experience, this course of 3 mornings was still worthwhile. A different view of accounts receivable management and a reminder of why this profession is so important. I finished this course setting more goals for myself, but certainly also for the company."
