Do you want a lasting change in your behaviour, thinking or work situation? In a personal coaching programme at Learnit, you work with a qualified coach on your drivers, patterns and goals. Five sessions, fully tailored to your question.
Description
In the programme Personal coaching you work with a qualified Learnit coach on your motives, dreams, wishes and thought patterns. The programme is intended for anyone who wants to achieve a lasting change in behaviour, situation or way of thinking, and for whom a regular course does not deliver the desired result.
You work on a coaching question that you formulate yourself. Think of themes such as communication, leadership, delegating, dealing with emotions, persuasion or self-insight. The coach works on the basis of four principles: results first, personal responsibility, the Iceberg theory and working in the here and now. This gives you insight into what lies beneath the surface and allows you to break through existing patterns.
The programme consists of five sessions, preceded by a no-obligation intake meeting in which you find out whether there is a click with the coach. The sessions last 1 to 1.5 hours and are spread over several months, so that you have enough time to reflect and to apply new insights in practice. Afterwards there is an evaluation meeting, if you wish together with your manager.
Topics
During a personal coaching programme you decide yourself which themes take centre stage. Common topics are:
- Clarifying your coaching question and learning objectives
- Insight into your drivers, motives and beliefs
- Working with the Iceberg Theory: from visible behaviour to underlying patterns
- Breaking through entrenched thought and behaviour patterns
- Communication and persuasiveness
- Handling conflict and dealing with emotions
- Delegating, setting boundaries and leading
- Inspiring and negotiating
- Personal effectiveness and self-insight
- Translating insights into concrete behaviour in your working practice
- Evaluating results and next steps
Result
After this coaching programme you have more insight into your own motivations, patterns and behaviour. You know what is going on beneath the surface and can make conscious choices to break through entrenched ways of thinking or behaving. You have taken concrete steps towards the goal you formulated at the start of the programme, whether that concerns communication, personal effectiveness, leadership or self-insight. You continue independently with the insights you have gained and can apply them in your daily work and private life.
Target audience
Personal coaching is intended for anyone who wants to achieve a lasting change in their behaviour, thought patterns or professional situation. You can take part privately or through your employer.
The programme suits you well if you notice that a course alone does not deliver the desired result, and you want to look more deeply at your motives, beliefs and patterns. Think of questions around insecurity, energy, raising your profile, managing people, setting boundaries or self-insight.
No prior education is required. What counts is your willingness to look critically at yourself and to take responsibility for your own development.
Teaching method
Personal coaching is an individual programme of five sessions, spread over several months. You start with a no-obligation intake meeting in which you get to know your coach. If there is a click, you jointly establish your coaching question, learning objectives and desired outcomes. You then work on your development in four sessions of 1 to 1.5 hours, with two to three weeks between each one to reflect and put what you have discussed into practice.
The coach works from the here and now and uses the Iceberg Theory: you look beyond visible behaviour and also explore the motivations, motives and beliefs that lie beneath it. The approach is safe and friendly, while also being confronting where necessary. You remain in charge of your own development process.
The sessions preferably take place at one of our locations, so that you have some distance from your work. You conclude the programme with an evaluation meeting, if you wish together with your manager.
Prior knowledge
No specific prior knowledge is required for this coaching programme. What does help: the willingness to look at yourself and to be open to new insights. You decide for yourself which question or theme you want to work on during the sessions.
