During a presentation you are in the spotlight. You are literally standing face to face with the audience. One individual against the group. Human beings are essentially group animals, and for most of us addressing a group is an enormously stressful event. We don't want to fall outside the group and fail under the watchful eye of an audience.
To avoid failing, a presentation needs to be well prepared. And this is usually where it goes wrong. People often think that preparing a presentation is the same as creating PowerPoint slides showing what you want to say. After that, it's simply a matter of 'doing' your PowerPoint for the audience. The result: an audience fighting off sleep while staring at slides. Hoping it will soon be over. And the presenter is often hoping the same thing. Sound familiar? Good. You'll never do it that way again. Now you are going to learn how to prepare a presentation, how to use PowerPoint properly and how to become that relaxed, effective presenter. I found the 'Interview Techniques' course to be good. Nothing to fault. It was also good that Job called beforehand for a short preliminary discussion. You don't see that very often. A very worthwhile course. It also had a strong element of repetition. Plenty of variety, including between theory and practice. Learned a lot, and applied it straight away during the course. And I think these learnings will also help me further when conducting interviews.

We took the Outlook, Teams and OneNote course with Roy Nieuwenhuijzen. Good content, and a few days before the course he got in touch with me (coordinator of the course, head of the secretariat). Pleasant that you can fill in the day itself as needed. The booklet for reference is rather dated, but apparently there is little up-to-date material to be found.
