Take your SQL knowledge to a higher level? In the two-day SQL Advanced training course you work in Microsoft SQL Server with T-SQL, advanced queries, joins, subqueries and programmable objects. Practical and hands-on, with plenty of exercises under the guidance of an experienced trainer.
In the two-day SQL Advanced course you build on your basic SQL knowledge and go deeper into the possibilities of Microsoft SQL Server and Transact-SQL (T-SQL). You first refresh the basic concepts and then extend your knowledge with advanced ways of sorting, filtering and calculating data.
You then move on to advanced techniques. You work with joins, subqueries, table expressions and combining queries. You also learn how to modify data, manage transactions and use window functions. In addition, you are introduced to procedural programming, logical tests and programmable objects such as procedures and triggers.
Under the guidance of an experienced database trainer, you alternate theory with demos, practical examples and plenty of exercises in Microsoft SQL Server. That way you quickly get to grips with the advanced functions of (T-)SQL and can apply them directly in your own work.
During this two-day course you work in Microsoft SQL Server with the advanced capabilities of (T-)SQL. You first refresh the basics and then build up your knowledge step by step with topics for advanced users.
Day 1 — Refreshing basic SQL concepts
Day 2 — Advanced SQL
After the SQL Intermediate course:
Do you already work with SQL and want to take things further? This follow-up course is designed for SQL users who have mastered the basics and want to deepen their knowledge with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL.
You will probably recognise yourself in one of these roles:
Have you no experience with SQL yet? Then the SQL Basics course is a better place to start.
During this two-day training course you work in small groups under the guidance of an experienced database trainer. We alternate theory with demos, examples from your own daily practice and plenty of exercises in Microsoft SQL Server. This way you quickly get to grips with the advanced features of (T-)SQL.
Before the course you receive a book with exercises and practice cases, which you can also use afterwards as a reference work. Please note that both the software and the course materials are in English.
You have a command of the basics of SQL: you can write simple queries independently using SELECT, WHERE and ORDER BY. Have you taken the SQL Basics course or do you already work with it in practice? Then you are in the right place. Experience with MS SQL Server is useful, but not required.
None in particular.
Would you like to organise this training for a whole group or several groups? This can be cost-effective. For example, we can tailor the content entirely to your organisation, and training a whole group is also cheaper.
Are you looking at large numbers of participants or a complete academy? That involves a great deal. Consider planning and communication, for example, or identifying and agreeing the objectives and content of the training. Or differences in level, feedback mechanisms and safeguarding. Fortunately, Learnit has extensive experience in this field (more than 25 years) and we are happy to help you through this process.
The training is given in Dutch as standard. The trainer has a good command of English. English-language course material can be used. With a minimum enrolment of 3 participants, the training can also be given entirely in English.
When would you like to start?
At Learnit you will always find a course that takes you further. From (technical) IT skills to communication or personal leadership. You can also choose the training format that suits you best: a classroom course, a tailor-made course at your own office, an online course or an e-learning. We have the right course and the right format for everyone. Because learning in the way that suits you best delivers the best results.
Personal attention and a pleasant atmosphere. Whether you take a course with us, at your office or on your own PC, we make sure you feel at home enough to push your boundaries.
New opportunities arise when you get moving. Stay sharp. Keep taking new steps. We encourage you to take the plunge and really go for it.
Discover something new. Build on your strengths. And choose your own path. We help you grow with training courses and learning formats that genuinely suit you.
We always think in terms of possibilities and win-win. And every day we work on new solutions for tomorrow. By offering training courses that leave you well prepared for the future.
We don't make empty promises. What we do offer is quality, knowledge and experience. A broad range of courses, made possible by our inspired staff and trainers.
We listen to what matters to you. To what you need. Because that is where our solution, our tailored approach, begins. Understanding each other properly and communicating clearly: that is what we believe in.
Taking a training course at Learnit means learning together. Together with your experienced trainer, together with your course group or together with your colleagues. And whether you take the training at home, at your office or at one of our training locations, we are always available to help you. To share our knowledge with you in a way that is genuinely useful to you. Getting further together through personal attention and understanding each other well; that is what we believe in.
Learning theory from a book that you can then hardly use in your work? Not at Learnit! Whichever training you take with us, you can put it to use at your workplace straight away. Because of the unique learning objectives you set together with the trainer at the start of the training. Because of the alternation between theory and (interactive) practical assignments. And by bringing the challenges you face in your daily work along to the training.
No suitable start date? Send us a date request. Then we will look together at how we can still meet your training needs.

Given the very wide range of courses on offer, I do not think it will be the last.”
