Self-reflection gives you a grip on your behaviour, your choices and your motivations. Over two training days you work on a realistic self-image using methods such as Johari, STARR and RET. This helps you to be stronger, more productive and happier at work.
Feeling good about yourself and enjoying going to work: that is valuable for you and for the people around you. Self-reflection helps you achieve this. You hold up a mirror to yourself and examine who you are, how you behave and what effect this has on others.
In this course you gain insight into your strengths and weaker points and build a realistic self-image. You learn to look at your own actions honestly and critically and to learn from your mistakes. This makes you more self-assured, less stressed and more productive at work.
You work with proven methods, exercises and reflection questions. Topics covered include the Johari window, the drama and winner's triangle, the RET step-by-step approach, transference and projection mechanisms, the STARR method and the SWOT analysis. You also work with metaphors and questionnaires to clarify your thoughts, beliefs and behavioural patterns.
The course is entirely tailor-made. You start with an intake by telephone or email, followed by two training days in which your personal learning objectives take centre stage.
During the Self-reflection course you will work on topics including:
After the Self-Reflection course you have a clear picture of yourself: who you are, which choices you make and how you think and feel about yourself and your work. You know your core qualities and whether others recognise them in you as well.
You dare to ask actively for feedback and can evaluate your own behaviour and reactions using, among other things, the STARR method. You know what the drama triangle and winner's triangle involve and how to take responsibility for your behaviour. You also recognise transference and projection mechanisms and see what influence these can have on a working relationship.
With the RET step-by-step plan you replace limiting beliefs with helpful ones. You see more quickly where you are blocking yourself and know how to get moving again. With practical tools you play to your strengths, make better decisions and communicate your goals more clearly.
The Self-Reflection course is suitable for anyone who wants to develop further professionally. Perhaps you regularly run into conflicts at work, or you feel you have got stuck. Or you simply want to take a critical look at your own performance and take steps in that area. Whether you want to tackle a specific situation differently or work on yourself more broadly: during this course you are given the tools to get to know yourself better and make conscious choices.
The Self-Reflection course is fully tailored to you. You start with an intake, either in person or by email, in which you and your trainer clarify your learning objectives and points of attention. You then attend two training days in which you actively work on yourself.
During the course you work with metaphors to gain insight into situations, emotions and behaviour. Using exercises, questionnaires and proven methods such as the Johari window, the drama triangle, the RET step-by-step plan, the STARR method and the SWOT analysis, you examine your own thoughts, beliefs and behaviour. Theory alternates with practical assignments and moments of reflection, so that you can apply what you have learnt directly in your work.
You train in a small group under the guidance of an experienced trainer. This gives you enough individual attention and room to raise your own questions.
This course requires no specific prior knowledge. An open attitude and the willingness to look at yourself honestly are enough. Do you really want to work on your own behaviour, motivations and growth? Then this is the right place for you.
Would you like to organise this training for a whole group or several groups? This can be cost-effective. For example, we can tailor the content entirely to your organisation, and training a whole group is also cheaper.
Are you looking at large numbers of participants or a complete academy? That involves a great deal. Consider planning and communication, for example, or identifying and agreeing the objectives and content of the training. Or differences in level, feedback mechanisms and safeguarding. Fortunately, Learnit has extensive experience in this field (more than 25 years) and we are happy to help you through this process.
The training is given in Dutch as standard. The trainer has a good command of English. English-language course material can be used. With a minimum enrolment of 3 participants, the training can also be given entirely in English.
When would you like to start?

Taking a training course at Learnit means learning together. Together with your experienced trainer, together with your course group or together with your colleagues. And whether you take the training at home, at your office or at one of our training locations, we are always available to help you. To share our knowledge with you in a way that is genuinely useful to you. Getting further together through personal attention and understanding each other well; that is what we believe in.
Learning theory from a book that you can then hardly use in your work? Not at Learnit! Whichever training you take with us, you can put it to use at your workplace straight away. Because of the unique learning objectives you set together with the trainer at the start of the training. Because of the alternation between theory and (interactive) practical assignments. And by bringing the challenges you face in your daily work along to the training.
No suitable start date? Send us a date request. Then we will look together at how we can still meet your training needs.
